This proves God isn't necessary for creation

  1. If you take a glass of water, and put a drop of oil in it, then take a pin and spin the oil in a circle, small globules of oil will break off and begin "orbiting" the original clump of oil.

Therefor, since this can happen automatically, there is no need for a God for solar systems and planets to form.

    Right????

Or am I forgetting to look at something? :D

  2. Yeah! The Bible!

You have a very good point.

  4. you got it man, perfect...

  5. the only point is on the needle.....

  6. the oil didn't just jump into the water and start breaking apart on its own.

You were the one to set it in motion aka you are god

  7. yeah but you have to realize that the universe in which this person spinned the needle included the oil that he spun

without the oil (those carbon, hydrogen and oxygen atoms) existing
that universe would have been drastically different

very likely that person would have never have come to existence, as the chain of events leading up to his birth would have deviated from the universe that contained the oil

so what if i said to you that the oil was god? and the oil created the person that spun it?

and both the oil and the person and everything in unison interacted so as to create the laws that differentiated mostly carbon atoms into the person that spun it?

  8. Good point is good.

  9. ;)

You also have a very good point.

  10. god exists only if you believe in it

  11. Bingo lol

The same goes for the comparison of a wrist watch's function to that of the human body, everybody seems to forget the watch maker.

  12. Let us examine the banana.

  13. Did you know the banana actually consists of three triangular shaped pieces with 1 curved edge? I discovered this because I dissect food in my mouth.

  14. Nothing happened automatically. You set the event into motion.

However were god to exist, he exists in a form that governs the laws of physics. His existence is what made what you did happen " automatically"

I'm an atheist myself as far as a creationist theory at least, i'm just pointing that your argument does little to prove anything.

  15. lol i didn't mean to "prove" anything, it was a sarcastic post.

  16. in my opinion the bible really isn't a credible source as evidence pointing to proof that god exists.

god needs to appeal to our senses, and until he does that, he does not exist. i don't need some book telling me how to be good and how to appreciate life. i can do that fine without god.

people don't need god anymore, perhaps they did hundreds of years ago, but not anymore. it's my belief that in the future there will be no such thing as religion. soon science will disprove all phenomenon in that area, at least a reasonable chunk, and all the religious fanatics will be put to rest, or fight a dying cause.

  18. "God" appeals to our senses everyday, I can't believe you've never had an experience...

  19. I can't tell if this is serious or not
