This maybe stupid but...

    This is probably a really stupid Question but is it possible to start a germinated seed by placing it on the window in direct sunlight?

    I forgot to add that i was going to put it in a peat cup with some soil.

    as long as there is no cold draft coming thru. It doesnt need ANY light untill it sprouts

    Alright but when it sprouts would it be safe to keep it in the window?

    Yes it can easily be done. :hello:

    you can always cover/top that cup with an upside down clear cup to act as a mini humid dome .
