  1. Something I just thought of: We bask in the sun, early humans worshiped it. It's warm and makes us feel wonderful and alive, we love it. It's always characterized as this smiling being in the sky. It provides every ounce of energy that has ever been present on it. We associate good things with the sun, in our language in philosophy. Energy is good, Love is good warm. Good things are fresh and cozy and wonderful. We named a day of the week after it, and usually take that day to relax and enjoy the sun itself.

Eventually, it will vaporize our planet, and the entirety of the human race with it. The sum of humankind will be gone in a shorter amount of time than it will take our brain to comprehend the thought.

  2. why are you hyping us up about the sun, only to tell us it'll melt the earth to nothing.

    that's not nice.

  3. I never liked the sun anyway.

  4. Our species will be long gone before the sun engulfs this planet :D

  5. We've still got a good 5 billion years left out of it.

I'm assuming there may not be a human race on this planet before the Sun runs out of energy.

  6. So the Sun is God and Satan?

It actually makes a shitload of sense. The Sun is literally the source of life on our planet.

  7. The sun giveth and the sun taketh

  8. sun of a bitch.

  9. I had sort of the same thought driving to school on the expressway going westbound around 5:00 pm the other day...

The sun gives us life, warmth ect. ect. yet no one can ever ever look directly at it for more than a few seconds. It really is our god.
