Hey Everybody. I have been reading some great posts on this site for a few weeks now, and I finally decided that some of my insight, knowlege and stories would be worthy to post with the rest of 'em. So I registered the other day, but decided I had to get high as a kite before my first post, so I can make it most enjoyable by all. That reminds me of this porchstep, soapbox, redneck preacher I met while I moved my friend into the trailer park with his Dad and Stepmom in tennessee. This old, grey haired, mustached man was a Baptist preacher's son, and being brought up baptist myself, I found his ramblings quite enlightening. It's funny, I didn't get to get high at all, but before I left to go back to New Mexico still living with my parents after two shitty semesters of college, me and my friend James got to sit down and talk about some wierd Bible stuff I had never heard of. Anyway, thats not the point, I just found the way he delivered his "knowledge" pretty damn funny: he says to my friend: "James, I got something to tell ya, and bein how you are a man that likes knowlege and such, I'm gonna lay some knowlege on ya..." then he went on to talk about how God turned the world upside down to kill the dinosaurs and a bunch of stuff like that, and how if only he could smoke a joint he could remember his bible verses better, but I will never forget that dude. Anyway, I don't really know what I was getting at with that story, maybe that knowlege is most useful when shared with others. I hope I haven't rambled too much, but I must say that tonight is a night that I will not forget for a very long time... getting high, drinking Keystone in a few drinking games with naked chicks all around followed by some hardcore skinnydipping. DAmn, that is all I can say right now. WHat a night. DAMN. I better go catch some Z's so I will be chipper enough to make the 4th of july 'get high in the mountains' trip to pay homage to our fore fathers that knew that smoking pot was an essential part of any great country. I almost forgot to introduce myself... Hi, I'm Stevieblaze. I'm just turning 19, and I have no fucking clue about what I want to do with my life. I just know that smoking will help me find that, and as long as I am smoking I will enjoy life to the fullest.

I think the portion quoted above is the absolute truth. I had a teacher, in the 9th grade, who inspired me so much to go into writing and sparked my enthusiasm in literature. As I got to know him beyond my 9th grade year as a friend and mentor, I discovered he had 2 phd's, and so much more. I asked him why he taught 9th grade, if it doesn't pay so much and he spent so much time in school. His answer was VERY similar to yours: knowledge is most valuable when you share with others, and when you are in your teenage years you are most impressionable. He wanted to be a positive influence and teach us, and ALL his classes, how important and powerful it is to utilize your skills & knowledge in the world.
