This is what I want.

Discussion in 'Music genres, Bands and Artists' started by Blix, Nov 1, 2003.

  1. All I want is a legal music download service that doesn't use
some exotic, or esoteric music format. MP3 is fine for me.
It's what I've got playing right now, and I'd rather not have to
    use two different players.

Forget all the copy protection bullshit. That's out the window
and gone; and it doesn't matter how many lawsuits you file,
you ain't getting that genie back in the bottle.

In fact, I'd go so far as to say copy protection is
fundamentally irrelevant, and actually dangerous for the
budding legal services, as it will keep me, and others like me
    from adopting their services.

Anyway, number one is it's gotta be MP3.

Second thing. It's gotta be competitively priced. 0.99 cents
each, or $9.95 a month for unlimited downloads of anything
    any other monthly subscribers have.

Third thing. The interface has to be rather intuitive. I don't
want to have to learn how to operate your program by
reading a fucking manual. You want me as a paying
    customer, use Kazaa's front end.

    Anyone else care to comment?

  2. MP3s are lower quality in sound than CDs a great way to spread music in the net but not for sound quality.

Copu protected CDs are crap, they skip more often and if you sratch them they won't play and it's difficult to listen them on your computer...

If everyone would respect the artists and pay for the music there wouldn't be problems but howerever the cost of the CDs today is too high sure there are a lot of people that need to get their money, records companies, distributors, CD pressing factories etc. etc. but the prize is too high.

And from one thing to another... -> D.I.Y. That's the answer music that is different, unique and cheap. Support your local bands, blaa vitun blaa... olen kännis enkä jaksa selittää nut kuiteki ottakaa rennosti, maailmassa on ongelmia mutta ei kannata käyttää koko elämäänsä niitten murehtimisieen. jos on elossa ni kaikki on vitun hyvin jos on kuollut ni ei voi valittaa... kaikki hyvin

  3. i know they just came out with a service with acsess of thousands of mp3's for only 83 cents a month... not that bad if ya ask me...

i still do it the "old fasioned" way though
