Hmm, that's fucked up. On a side note, I read in Rolling Stone that the FDA has approved the use of MDMA (ecstasy) for veterans with PTSD. Too bad the dude couldn't have just gotten some good rolls instead of fucking around with benzos. RIP
It doesn't surprise me in the least... given it is the military, with their tendency to be militant and all. But, it is sad that they can't show the same loyalty to their soldiers that they receive from their soldiers. That is fantastic news.

Okay, on with your news. Are you actually surprised they did this to the poor man? The federal laws regarding illicit substances haven't changed since they were instated. Is what the government did right? No. Is it shocking? No, because this has happened countless times to other people before it happened to this guy. Nothing new here.
Correct, but it is upsetting that this is still going on. The guy was just trying to LIVE a normal life. For trying to live another day...another day! To us it's nothing, I can't imagine what he must have gone through on a daily basis. And 90 fucking xanax? You've got to be KIDDING me. That doctor should be raped by a big fat lawsuit.

This article hit me right in the heart. How this kind of shit is acceptable is just beyond me. I just don't have any words for this, it's so fucked up how one loses all that he has made of himself because of a joint and government lies.
It is sad to hear... but as mushroom said we cant change any of that. We all need to unite and fight this.. but.. it's doubtful that it will happen.
Trained to give 90 pills to someone who is two times more likely to commit suicide than a regular citizen, nice. Doctors now a days don't give a fuck is what I'm trying to say. "Oh you're depressed? Ya here's a prescription for Prozac, bye" and then on to the next patient. It's all about money now a days. They don't give a fuck about helping people, they just want to seem like they care and give poor people like that kid a bunch of drugs just to make a quick buck. It's pathetic. I know so many people going into the nursing field soley because they just want the money. They don't care about helping people, making a difference in someones life, etc. I have yet to talk to one that has similar views to me, maybe I haven't talked to enough. Yes, the money is nice, but in my case, I've always enjoyed helping people. At the end of the day, after working a long, stressful 12 hour shift, I want to go home and know that I touched someones life, that I helped them, that I made their families worry a little less about their sick relative. That's why I'm doing it. A lot of people don't think like that though. Sorry for thinking it was stupid as fuck for that doctor to prescribe that kid that many pills. ..USA! USA! USA!
Nevermind, I read that wrong. I was bitching about how it was Matt's fault, thinking he accidently overdosed. Yes, that is very messed up considering it shoudl be first proirity to sort the mental health of a patient before perscribing them drugs with a frankly low ld50.
