Although I don't believe in that lifestyle, I believe in peoples' own wills and choices. Japanese people are known for their pursuit of quality and innovation and are willing to sacrifice their own life for the greater good(or for dishonoring their family SEPPUKU!). If that is what makes a person happy, then shit, let them. It is depressing for other, more indiviualistic cultures that see them as just cogs in a great machine, when they see themselves as great parts of a whole. It is hard to wrap my own brain around who would want to live that way but that's why living is so amazing, you can do it so many different ways//

But I'd dare say that Japan (and eventually other places as well) will NEED to resort to megastructures like this. There's just not enough room available for them not to And of course wayyy back in the day people could have looked at the concepts for huge apartment buildings and said "that's not worth it. It wont house enough people and it will cost a lot. And I don't think we could even build this shit" but eventually they were needed. This could, to an extent anyway, be the next (or a few nexts down the line) apartment building. I dunno.. I hope so. Not because I think it would be efficient. There's really no way of telling that at this point. I just hope it happens because I think it's cool as fuck haha

I visited japan last year, tokyo to be exact. But, the people are not drones...lol just because they have different ethics and cultural views than the western world doesn't mean they're crazy crazy. I had a great time, and the people are incredibly welcoming. The mannerisms of the Japanese people put most Americans to shame. So friendly and the food! ahhh hahaha! they know some good sushi!. And the woman... so gorgeous, they're all thin and keep themselves looking good. hahha I got a lot of attention because i have wavy/curly black hair and bright blue eyes. I didn't mind one bit at all. I must have gotten over 50 pictures with all these woman just because they haven't seen authentic blue eyes.....ever
