Ordered some of these, and I can fill one up tight with some freshly ground herb in like 10 seconds, put it in a cigarette box, and be on my way. They burn great too. Anyone ever used empty cigarette tubes to smoke in public/roll quickly?
Done it when in a pinch, but I'd rather use my one hitter. Definitely more conservative, and I'd even venture to say more stealthy.
Yeah, a cig filter isn't the same as a pure cotton filter/ roach or something. Just buy a dugout, I smoke just about everywhere with it worry free haha.

i would rather use a dugout because it wont smell as much as that and can be way stealthier IMO. and a one hitter conserves much more weed than that

The OP's idea to use cigarette looking papers to pack with his own herbs is great in my mind. They come in a pack. Resin and smell free by the way. He can take out half, leave them at home and place his bag of weed in the other half of the box with a lighter. Do you need the special machiene to get herb into these tubes? Or can you just hand stuff them. I see alot of these on ebay some are called Rizla. Can you just hand insert them and pack it with a pencil or something?
You dont need a machine, I just fill it with ground weed, and then pack it down with a pen/pencil, like you said.
