Im starting my first grow this week when i get my 3 auto mazars seeds in the mail, i ordered them september 11 from attitude so hopefully they will come soon. My space: Grow lab 80l (2'7x4'11x6'7) in my basement. My lights: T5 4 foot 4 bulb for first few week of plant life and the a : 600 watt hortilux eye, hydrofarm daystar air cooled hood, and apollo ballast for later in the plants life. Soil: Roots organic and fox farm light warrior seed starter soil in 5 gallon smart pots, i plan on putting the roots organic on the bottom of the pot and then a few inches light warrior soil on top so the seeds can get a good start. My venting stuff: 25 feet of 6 inch ducting, zip ties, 440 cfm inline fan, speed controller, and a oscillating fan. I plan on not using the inline fan until i start using the 600 watt setup. So will i be good with only a oscillating fan with the first few weeks of my grow. Other stuff i have: Plant caddies, ph meter, tds meter, 7 day hydrofarm timer, hangers, thermometer, ph up and down, and ionic notes. Once my seeds come in the mail i plan on putting them in a cup of bottled water covered with something and then just making a small 1/4 hole and just putting the seed in there. Under my t5 setup with a oscillating fan . And for lighting schedule I'm think 20-4 or just having the lights on 24 hours a day till the plants done because its a auto flower. Do you think I'm ready to start? And is there anything wrong with how i plan on starting the seeds or anything else.
Atleast you did some homework on what you need to have before you jump in and start growing. I`d do a few dry runs with your aet up up and running before you start so you can get your temps dialed in before planting. A dry run for a couple of days with your T5 so you can get things adjusted for optimal day and night temps then the same for your 600 watt HID light. Having your temps dialed in before you start can save your plants from being to hot or cold.
