"When he circumcises an infant, he said, he almost always put his mouth on the baby’s penis to pull blood away from the wound in an ancient part of the circumcision ritual, known in Hebrew as metzitzah b’peh, that is still commonplace in parts of the ultra-Orthodox Jewish community but is rare in other branches of Judaism." http://nyti.ms/Pk7Xsq WHAT. THE. FUCK. This is so backwards and disgusting. Not only is it just straight up disgusting to be putting a baby's penis in your mouth, but the fucking idiots are spreading things like herpes. I mean...are you fucking kidding me? They think rinsing with listerine is going to stop transmitting diseases? I mean, suing the city for requiring the rabbi to inform the parents that their baby is at risk for herpes? What the fuck is wrong with those people?? Yes I said those people because who else but super religious nuts let someone put his mouth on your son's penis, putting him at risk for FUCKING HERPES, all in the name of tradition! I just can't...
Lovely god to require such disgusting paedophilic acts... Blood thirsty vengeful jealous sadistic pathetic god.
I think it's more backwards that they even have these events where everyone watches a doctor perform a medical procedure in their living room on the genatalia of a newborn because of a promise with God over thousands of years ago.
Meh. That's how my circumcision went. I was born into an orthodox Hasidic Jewish family. I don't agree with the practice, and if I were to ever have kids (I'm not) I wouldn't have them circumcised in the traditional way.
All infant circumcisions, other than rare cases when there's a valid medical purpose, are unnecessary and harmful. Instead of focusing on a small religious lunatic fringe, we should be talking about limiting it in the mainstream medical field. This can be accomplished by stopping the health care insurance companies from paying for it.

Although its been found those that haven't been cut have more sensation during intercourse. Win some ya loose some.
You're a misinformed little bigot, huh? The mohel using his mouth is an ancient ritual that 99% of temples no longer practice.

I actually wish I wasn't circumcised.. I guess people experience more pleasure with an uncircumcised penis, but they trimmed my skin without my permission, took away pleasure without my consent...that's fucked now that I think about it. got a lil off topic but yeah OP that's fucked up....

What's there to be confused about? Ironic was correct when she said 99 percent of Temples no longer practice circumcision that way. I happened to grow up in an ultra-orthodox sect of Judaism that, to this day, still does circumcisions the traditional way. We also didn't use any electricity at all during the Sabbath. There are lots of strict Jews still on this earth.
I only like the fact that my penis has been sliced because everyone elses has. But, at the same time, why the fuck did you cut my penis you mother fuckers. Fuck religion, god damntidiots wake up.

If not, what differs between the two?

By and large, however, orthodox Judaism is falling by the wayside and being replaced by more liberal forms. This is why there are not many Temples practicing traditional circumcision. Judaism is transforming.
Seems to me that although uncircumcized gives more sensation (I wouldnt know personally), but just kinda freaks some people (girls) out. I'm circumsized and I think the majority of us are. Uncircumsized seems to be the minority of males. I don't think it always has to do with religion. As another poster said, its probably done more-so nowadays for appearance and cleanliness rather than religious tradition. Though I must say that is incredibly fucked up putting his mouth on infant penis. I dunno, I just think I'd rather have a mushroom than the hooded snake, just for appearance. As for more sensation that I'm missing, well, sounds like I'd be busting even faster than I already do.
