ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting Imageshack - photohvi.jpg the second picture is not so good. but since it has a rounded "ball" where many of the branches come off from the main stem, it is male correct?
Try looking at newer growth. The newest growth will show first usually. If you see a cluster of balls, its probably male. You don't see any white hairs/pistils anywhere?
Yeah I believe its still to early to tell, keep in mind the male plant will grow much shorter than the female so if you have another plants around this one watch how high they grow. Male plants are ugly, let it grow for a couple more weeks and you should easily be able to tell which plants are female or male. Watch for balls This should help some, but don't wait to long to remove the male plant
Male shorter than the female ? Where do people get this stuff. So many varieties. So many phenotypes. Although that may be true for some types, thats no way to try and sex a plant. The only way is pre-flowers. Well maybe not the only way. His plant appears to be a male but picture is not clear enough to tell. If you don't see 2 white pistils ( white hairs sticking up) then its probably not a female, or too early to tell.
