I am always a spiritually minded person, but I get especially deep when I have smoked a J or 2. It's like the connection between me and the Divine is amplified, much in the way crystals amplify energy. I think maybe it helps lower that wall that is in our conscious mind that blocks out such encounters. We are taught all our lives that "this" isn't possible, or "that" is ridiculous. When we are in the zone of the moment, we put asided all preconceived notions and we are open to the real truth.
MY EYES HAVE BEEN OPENED!!!! Crystals amplify energy and marijuana amplifies a connection to the divine! how could I have missed this? it must lower that wall that is our conscious mind and blocks out encounters due to skeptics telling us not to believe a and B!!!! so obvious!!! Its way more likely than the idea that some people's minds are gullible to 'feeling' / 'suggestion' and more-so when they're using a mentally effecting substance. Oh, do you know what destroys the 'wall that our conscious minds put up seperating us from the divine?" an artificial magnetic field directed at your temporal lobes.
While that's possible, it's more likely some sort of self-delusion is going on, considering the state of intoxication and whatnot.. but that's left to your judgement
No, nothing closer to divine. opinions in full flush; cannabis changes the chemical exchange, thinking becomes scattered and stretched showing the base of thought as we know it. there is no truth. truth, just a theory of a sound idea. as point out by iscariot, crudely, the metaphor doesnt work. not a bad start in understanding your own mind. my suggestion: dont re-invent the wheel. go to the library and soak.
but delusions keep us from crossing the line between anxiety and psychopathic behavior. Maybe smoking is a form of escapism, but when things are really sucky, sometimes we dwell on the bad too much. Going to an altered state of consciousness gets our minds off of the bad stuff. And when we come down from our cloud, our problems don't seem quite as dire as before.
On a serious note the brain is a highly interesting subject, so check out some cognitive and neuroscience at the library, its a lot easier to understand things like a 'feeling' of divinity, then.
as bad as it makes me sound, my mind isn't programmed to get into stuff like that. I mean it is an interesting, but sadly enough, I just can't understand some of what I read. I loved biology and stuff in high school, but I never was good at it. I always wanted to be a left brain person, but my right side has always had dominion over my mental processes.
btw, Iscariot, I like the avatar and your signature. House and I share a love of Vicodin. And I am very stingy with it.
Well, you can gain great insight when high. Perhaps due to thinking more laterally and associating more freely. Which is why I often use it to further my own creativity. That and massive amounts of coffee. As for the crystal/energy thing... What crystals and what energy?
I eat more coffee than I drink. I like it coarsely ground. I will average about 6-7 scoops a day. It's better and quicker than drinking it.
I don't know what this thread is about but i felt like posting becuase im torqued and stared at your sig for over 10 minutes straight.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crystal_field_splitting_energy ? Maybe... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crystal_Lattice_Energy? Or..... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_circle ? All i could think of at the moment, with cystals and power.
I love doing that, but that is what I am talking about. You just fix your mind on something and it is so awesome. In my case it manifests itself into a divine spiritual experience. But it's the same with any experience, spiritual or not.
