Thinking About Growing, Whats The Difference Between A Male Plant And A Female Plant?

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by DankestBud, Jul 25, 2014.

  1. Whats the difference?  I keep seeing advertisements about buying feminized seeds and I read a few things about people preferring a female plant. Why?

  2. females are the ones that produce bud. You don't want the males because they will pollinate your females causing seeds, a lower yield, and lowered potency.

  3. Yes the males will only produce leaves not actual marijuana buds. As above posted said it will also decrease potency.

    Sinsemilla mmmm.

  4. Female = Calyx with pistils everywhere

    Male = Balls everywhere

    Female's produce buds and male's don't

  5. Wow, thanks guys.
