Thin Stems

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Outdoors' started by zachobnn, May 8, 2018.

  1. Hello all, that time of year again. My seedling stems are looking rather thin. Pretty sure it's cause i had my lights too far away and they stretched too much. Any way of getting them to beef up a little bit? I have two small fans circulating air in my green house and 4 basic florescent lights (two cool, two warm). I've been thinking about bringing them outside to get sun light and keeping the fans on them.

  2. You can bury them deeper if you replant them, but they are for sure needing more light. I would repot them and lower your lights.

  3. I was thinking that too, but wasn't sure if they'd be too frail to hold more dirt on top of them.

  4. If you do bury them and they still want more light, you will have the same issue.

  5. lower your lights/ use more blue spectrum

  6. A couple of them were too much of a lost cause so I pulled them. I'll try and bury the ones that I can, also moved them outside in the greenhouse. Pretty risky this time of year in Maine but I'll keep my eyes on the weather
