Thick glass pipes?

    I have a pipe and its pretty thick and a bit heavy, just throwing it out there but is it better to have a pipe thats thick or thin? Or does it even matter? Personally i like thicker pipes because i dont have to be as careful with them

    I prefer thick glass because it's harder to break and doesn't get as hot.

    Thickness is always near the top of what to look for when buying a piece. I've managed to drop many $15 mini mart pipes on concrete without them breaking. Shhhhh don't tell the people over in the "broke $750 worth of glass" thread.

    I was reading that thread holy shit i would never even spend that much on glass, 10-20 dollar pipes work perfect for me and if they break you just get a new one no big deal lol

    Lol I've spent my fair share on some pieces, and am not against doing it again possibly but probably won't. I also accept that the ones I did spend hundreds on were mostly just to feed my ego, not because they were made of super duper mythical glass. Art is another acceptable reason of course but wasn't my reasons.


    "Not my fault you're too poor to buy nice glass" attitude however can be taken elsewhere.

    I've broken thick expensive pieces just as easy as thin cheap ones. I've broke $150 pieces. Never broke my 20$ "unbeakable" pipe yet.

    I like the look of thinner pipes, but in practicality I prefer thicker pipes. I'm clumsy as fuck, so are my friends.

    I don't understand why people would bitch about a nice quality, thick as hell glass pipe. Especially if it's on the longer side, the hits don't tend to be as harsh. I use a scientific bubbler as my daily driver but would hit a nice, thick spoon any day.

    Are you telling me that you loan folk your piece, maybe even smoke them out, and they have the audacity to bitch about your piece?
    Sounds like you need to teach some folk some manners...

    Thick glass still breaks. Not as easy as thin, but it will break. I speak from experience.

    I'm picky about my pipes. But thick glass is probably at the top of my list of things to look for... Just one of my preferences I guess
