  1. hey gang im a first time grower living in wisconsin who has five plants that have just begun to bud. They look plenty healthy but a few of the lower leaves are really yellow. I have been keeping the lower third of the plant bare and i was curious if i should rid my plants of the yellow leaves or if i should just leave them there? thanks to all who reply!

  2. Hey Cobra!

I am new too, and I have a number of yellow leaves near the bottom of my big girl (you can check out my two plants via the link in my signature) ... anyways, from what I have been able to tell this year, the MJ plant likes to shed off a few leaves near the bottom, all throughout its cycle. My plant is still vegging, early pre-flower pistols showing, but I'm pretty sure its normal. I don't cut them off unless they look REALLY bad, but I will slightly tug on yellow leaves, and if it comes off easily, then there we go! If it resists a little bit, I'll leave it so the plant can suck the very last nutrients out of the leaf.

    Hope this helped! Cheers!
