smell it. marijauana has a pretty distinct smell.i always go by if it smells dank than it prolly is.it hasnt failed me yet an ive been smoking for years

 

Make sure it's green. Brown weed is bad. Orange hairs are a good sign. Some colored flecks(almost anything; purple, orange, red, blue. But only little tiny specks) usually is pretty good. If it looks like it's covered in tons of tiny crystals, that is amazing; but beware, the crystals shouldn't be sharp or taste sweet(some assholes like to sprinkle the weed they sell with sugar or ground glass).

 

And if your dealer gives tells you "Yeah son, its purple crazy king XXX monkey fuck" and wants like $25 /1g tell him to fuck off.

Never pay over 20$ for 1 g (gram).

If it's a light green, that's a good sign. Stay away from brown.. that's dirt weed.

Orange/red hairs are a good sign as well.

Those crystals you will see are called Trichomes, and they are very very good. The more you can see, the danker the weed.

You can also almost always judge the dankness of weed by the smell. If you can smell it through the baggie, that's a good sign. If it smells strongly then there's a good chance it is some good weed.
