Theory On Master Bud (Dna Extraction)

Discussion in 'Advanced Growing Techniques' started by xterbium, May 22, 2013.

  1. Hello GC, I'm a logical thinker at most, and i spend my time researching and chatting with friends whilst looking over my lovely ladies (2 1/2 months in) first time grower.)

My friend came over an interesting topic with me the other day about something he did in his Biology Class.

They extracted DNA from The Biggest, and sweetest  Strawberrys on their classroom grown plant, turned it into a film, and made a cut into the strawberry plant like a paperclip almost, and made the film stick into the plant rather. This made the stronger DNA stand out in the plant, and made it grow more vigorously.

Now, I'm thinking that you can make this sort of Film with Fresh bud that still has all the liquid in it before curing. Wouldn't this be possible? i'm thinking so. What're your thoughts,

Also here's a guide on how to do that extraction

(I had this posted on a different board, but it obtained ZERO attention, I do believe this is the board that would appreciate such a post)

hi, I think with cannabis if you have one plant with good DNA just clone/breed that, dont turn a shittier plant into a better one by pumping DNA from plant 1 into plant 2. i think what they did was just a proof of concept type of thing for learning that has no practical application. unless i misunderstood.

however i think you should check this out, it is the most interesting thing i have read about dna, cannabis, and genetic modification. and its easy enough to understand if you are interested.
