I thought I would just put in a little thread about some information about the UK 'Sprayed' or 'Contaminated' Cannabis situation for anyone planning on paying a visit to our Isles and intending on smoking some. In every area in the UK there is some forms of contaminated Cannabis, though more wide spread in some areas and in others quite rare. Though the 'Grit weed' has gone due to the 'taste test' the suppliers had to think a new way to add weight, without easy detection. The main types I have witnessed at the moment are the 'Hard Ash' and also the stuff that looks like its got bright green paint like substance on the buds and leaf, which can be scratched off with your fingernail. There is also a type that when you put the bud against the tip of your tongue it feels like a tingly/ burning sort or sensation, but the smell of the bud is normal, maybe slightly less strong but not very noticeable. PLACES ABUNDANT WITH CONTAMINATED; This is just a short list of places where you have a extremely high chance of getting the bad stuff - Scotland: The whole Country is in huge supply of the stuff, most people there will buy it which then does not help! You can get good stuff but if you do it's your lucky day! -Ireland (Nothern Ireland & Republic) Once again the Island is infested with it, if you get something good make sure to keep their number saved, they will be your best friend for life lol! Dublin in particular is in huge supply at the moment, but they have a huge supply of any drug you want lol !! - Wales: This is the place is the Birthplace of The original 'Grit weed', enough said really. -England:Now England is a mixed bag really some areas both North and South have places where there is the bad stuff, its much easier to find good grade in England thats for sure, and you have a good choice of different types. PLACES WITH THE GOOD STUFF; This is a list for places where you have a much higher chance of getting the good stuff -Birmingham & Manchester: These two towns are a great source of 'Haze' types of skunk, the amount of 'Lemon Haze' I have had is unbelievable, its quite expensive though! Once again you still have a chance to get bad green too so it's not 100% -London: This City has a wide variety of grade going about which is mainly amazing green, the 'sprayed' green was rejected a long time ago, but it lurks in the shadows so watch out! -The Midlands: Areas such as Nottingham have lesser quantities of the 'sprayed cannabis'. To be totally honest, no matter where you are in the UK you need to check it before buying it. Even the bad stuff will get you high, but it just makes your lungs feel tight, and tends to have a funny sort of taste to it. If you buy the good stuff your looking at about £20 for 1.5g but that will keep you red eyed all day lol !!
Never had contaminated weed, yorkshire is pretty safe i guess and these asshole dealers whos sellin this shit should be locked up.
Nice one Peaceman, glad to see your supply must be someone growing locally then. My guide is a general idea, as I said for everyone it varies but 90% of the time if your buying green in the UK it will be contaminated in one way or another. Your totally right, they should be locked up or better still put infront of a Firing Squad along side their dirt weed lol!

Thats the scary bit, its been contaminated with Glass, Snow Spray, talc powder, some form of silica beads.... basically anything that looks similar to THC, and will stick to the bud so to add the weight..... Scary stuff! Apart from that, there is also bad Pollen going about at the moment, it looks and smells good but when it burns in a joint, it does not burn and make the rizla oily so watch out for that too !!
How to Clean your Contamination; 1) Fill a bowl full of warm water from a kettle that was boiled a few hours previously, so no chlorine is in the water etc.... 2) Throw any green you have into the water filled bowl, with the exception of any dust or extremely small buds as you may 'lose' them by putting them into the water. 3) Let the green sit in the bowl for at least 5mins or so, making sure that the bud is totally wet all the way through. 4) Dry off the weed using either your Radiator, Oven, Wooden Box method now the quicker you dry the weed the worse the taste will be when smoked. 5) Enjoy a slightly safer green lol Now a word of warning, do not use hot/ Boiling water as this will remove all THC from the bud, and make sure to be very gentle with the bud while it's in the water otherwise you may remove the THC also. P.S this only works with the water soluble contaminants for example the Silica beads, and will not work with the older 'Grit weed' as glass is not water soluble lol !! Wow I've never had that problem here in the States so it probably would not occur to me to check my bud. I'd really like to visit the UK one day and try some of the bud so I'll definitely keep this thread in mind. Thanks for the heads up guys.
Your very luck to say the least, but just be careful of any imported stuff, especially from Amsterdam. Its widely acknowledged that many Coffee shops now supply the Sprayed stuff also !! From what i'm told most Green in the USA is homegrown so it should not be too much of a problem.
my weed is always well grown, and non-contaminated, ive never had bad bud. (cept from where it was a little un-cured once, smoked it and was a really good high though) my area is good for clean weed, but i cant really say about other areas. a half hour drive from my area (i think) and theres this place with the best bud i have ever seen, couple tokes and you're away, no grit.. no chemicals.. just goot ol' weed . a lot of soapbar around here too, sickly shit. but after a few hash dealers, i actually found a legit one.. no soapbar from this guy, all good stuff, just finished a 1/4 of pollen hash on i bought on saterday..fucked up stuff man, really blows you away. soapbar used to thrive in my area, luckily it was when i started smoking the weed that soapbar went down in popularity, only the people who dont know any better still smoke it. so yeah.. know your people
I hope you get a better deal that that, this is a completely upto date guide on price for the average person. Not everyone gets the same deal anymore. It used to be £20 for 3.5g back in 2004 before the original drought, nowadays it varies between about 2g-1.5g for the same price, but this is stuff like Cheese etc.. so even though it's a small amount it still knocks you off your feet lol !
All of the contaminated stuff and Soap bar in Ireland and Scotland come from Paramilitary groups. I personally don't mind handing them my money, but it's always the same rubbish so I don't bother anymore. Dublin, Belfast, Glasgow and Edinburgh are notorious for the stuff. Glad you have a good source !
