everyone should check out this series on pbs it's a documentary about world war 2 and i heard it was good but damn. I never really concieved how brutal the war was untill I started watching this, all video they show is real actually shot in ww2, they showed footage of japanese civilians jumping off of cliffs to commit suicide to avoid capture, so the americans decide to shoot at them since they're going to die anyways there was an interview with this pilot saying his plane got hit and his plane was on fire in the cockpit and it was so damaged the cockpit wouldn't open and he said he didn't want to burn to death so he started flying directly downward towards the ground to kill himself but that put the fire out so he went to land but shrapnel had taken out a tire and he didn't know about it and they showed a video of his landing and it was brutal, but he lived. They showed a video of an american spraying some bushes with a flamethrower and japanese people take off running while they are literally on fire. You wouldn't believe the video they have, its all in color and they added the sound effects in. They people they interview talk about how brutal it is to fight japanese soldiers, because you could get german soldiers to surrender but if a japanese soldier was alive he would do everything they could to kill as many enemies as possible without thinking of their own life. anyways it's on right now go check it out
if I honestly knew I was going to die like dudes were shooting at me, I'd make sure I got every dude I could. Right on.
aww now i'm watching it on tv dude. it's all in black and white. and no sound effects you tricked me!
omfg they just told a story about a japanese soldier had a spine injury and couldn't move his arms, and he had a mouth full of teeth with gold crowns, and this soldier wanted them, so he cut his teeth out while he was alive , and I dunno what ur watching but what im watching definately has color and sound effects well theyres some photos that are black and white
yea dude, war is brutal, i thought everyone kenw that did ya know that there runnin innocent iraqi's over with tanks right now? haha i'd be runnin those fuckers over too though if i was rockin a tank with a license to kill
The reason the Japanese were so hard to capture was the Megji Military Government had twisted the sacred code of Bushido into a insanse suicidal army. The regular soldiers were called.."issen gorrin" which basically means worth one penny.. If you want to read a good book on the psychology of the Japanese Army check out "flyboys" very good read
well yea I knew it was brutal but I didn't really concieve how brutal it was, what i'm trying to say is I've never thought about the brutality as much untill I saw these videos of what really happened, I had watched saving private ryan and shit buts thats a bunch of actors this is real shit that I'd never seen before. sorry if I don't make sense I just got a fat new sack of dank buds well I could have gone through life not know brains were blueish red
yea its a great series. ive been watching it all week, i think its 5 parts. i love pbs. edit: thought this was... funny? Q: what do you feel when you shoot the enemy? A: recoil
