The War On Drugs

  1. Some may argue that America has never lost a war, but by any accounts the "War On Drugs" is more than a lost cause, and the lament hypocrisy it creates is just simply grotesque.

It's become so advanced that Kansas has outlawed K2, an herbal smoke, that had a few accounts of people being sent to the hospital. Now that it's banned, Federal agents are already busting in the door on head shops in Kansas and elongating the vicious cycle that keeps this "war" brewing.

No drug is either good nor bad. It's all a very subjective matter, and it shouldn't warrant debate on whether it's right or wrong. Someone might wonder how would it be possible to defend a drug like Crystal Methamphetamine? Well it can be a productive stimulant that increases production. People use it for good in Thailand to increase their salaries in an ever competitive job market; and of course it's bad as it's highly addictive and toxic to the central nervous system. To the same token however, Ibuprofen (Advil), is good as it relieves mild headaches, but bad in the fact that if I happen to ingest one too many, I won't be waking up in the morning.

Some may argue that people don't intentionally try to overdose on Advil. Same rule goes for a Crystal Meth overdose. Users don't intentionally try to kill themselves. Both drugs are lethal, but it's how one subjectively feels towards one.

Alcohol related death kills thousands per year, but is that enough to warrant it to be illegal? Ritalin has killed over 180 children between 1990-2000, is that enough to warrant it a dangerous drug? There is no bench mark number to answer, just as there is no essential good or bad in a drug.

"Drugs operate like a battery, they have a positive and negative side.

  2. I agree with you 100%! we need proper drug education. We need teach kids that drugs have good properties and can be used productively but also have risk for dependency or what have you. If this happened then we would have less people smoking cannabis to be "cool" and more people smoking for the right reason. Same goes for any other drug, especially hallucinogens.

  3. As long as drugs are ilegal they will be 'cool,' the Duch have seen use go down amongst teenagers who see weed as boring.
Governments know this but don't want the liberal, educated population that comes with it as thick yokels are easier to manage:D

  4. There are variables in the drug world that just can't be controlled. Where there is demand, there will be a supply; and with every new innovation there will be an untapped market for consumption.

There was a market for crack cocaine and a huge audience willing to consume it, even before it's conception. People didn't know they wanted crack cocaine, but when it hit, they consumed it.

One drug can be added to to banned list but there will always be another to take it's place. LSD blows up in the 60s, and becomes illegal. MDMA becomes the next psychedelic, moves into the streets in the 70s, blows up in the 80s, and becomes illegal.

Today Salvia seems to be the big rage that is slowly being illegalized. In the following years it takes to ban it outright, there will be something new to fill its shoes.

And so goes the saga of drugs.

  5. Anything that the phamecutical, alcohol, or tobacco companies are not profiting off of is classified as a dangerous, addictive drug.

  6. Haha So true!

  7. 2-CB, 2-CC, 2- CD, 2-CE, ..............the list goes on.

The government is fucking retarded. There forcing people to find new drugs, which may not be as safe as tried and true tested drugs like mushrooms and peyote.

We need to legalize all plant drugs. Cannabis, Opium, Mushrooms, Peyote, Ayahuscha, and coca leaves others. In my opinion these are the only drugs you need.

Human made compounds lik,e LSD (which I have tripped on, I know I can handle it but others could definatly go bat shit insane), AMT and 2-CE-7 I'm still up in the air about since some of those analogs are ridiculously powerful and can be OD'd on much easier. Fentanyl for example, a OD can be 175 micro grams (millionths of a gram). Drugs that powerful should never be sold for uncontrolled human consumption.

But if we had opium, we wouldn't need it, if we had never ending supplys of mushrooms and peyote, no one would need AMT or 2-Bbromo-hydroxyide-aphmetamine.
