4 gal/15 liter food grade pale, cut off the top to make it around 3 gal/ 11 litres, then placed a cloth shopping bag inside, drilled one 2" hple from the bottom of the bucket for the water run off. The other holes are to allow air into the medium and root structure " kinda like an air pot"... basicly its a hempy + airpot + smart pot combination... Lets growwww!

About 1.5 liters/ 0.396 us liquid gallon of water stayes in this bucket under the 2" hole.

  5. If you're feeding daily I don't understand the reason for the hole 2" from the bottom like a hempy bucket. The idea of the hole 2" from the bottom in a hempy is to create a small res so that you don't have to feed everyday. I have original hempy buckets and I only feed one gallon every other day.

I also don't understand the cloth shopping bag inside the bucket - what's the purpose? Holes in the sides of air pots are not to allow air flow into the medium - it's for root pruning - perlite and an airy mix is what allows oxygen to the roots. With the bag inside the pot - what's the point of the holes?

  6. I plan to feed daily or every other day so the roots receive fresh water/air/nutes on a regular basis. For the holes --> Alaska Grow Bucket Guide — Alaska Grow Buckets

Im using the same principle as above link.
To air prune the roots so the plant can grow bigger/better in a smaller container.

  7. Good luck. :)

  8. Mini bucket to start out the seeds in. Should hopefully allow for an easy transplant into the 3 gal later on.
The clear container goes inside the white one, has a 1" air gap at the bottom and water drain hole 1" from the bottom.

  17. So with this set up I used the buckets for storage space and so I dont need to bend over so much to water. The light is 18" from the hempy buckets and set to 100w for veg. Feel free to comment or ask questions.
