Sounds like a blast jack! Love the comparatives! Seedstockers and DP huh? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yep, autos again And a quick preview - one of the strains will be the awesome Dutch Passion Auto Colorado Cookies
Yum what i got off them last time was real nice smoke but i hope they yeild more this time but deffo nice smoke. Everyone should enjoy
I think the strain has been improved a lot since its initial testing, but we will all surely find out soon
I just ordered some a few months ago and I loved it as I grew one out. If they've been improved paint me blue and call me excited
Had some left over Blues and Sunshine's. Same-o same-o on the grow median and nutes but with a twist. I am running 4 Mars led panels 24-7 combined with a 1000wt HPS 18-6, in a 8' x 3' space for 6 plants. I would normally run all lights 24-7 but I was running the big light on 18-6 purely for elect cost this time, but to my surprise they are responding very well to it so far. They even droop after the big light goes out. Never seen that on a 24hr schedule before. They are growing at an increased rate from the other grows of the same strains with the same amount of lighting except with the 6 hour break from the 1000wt Hortilux. I thought it would be less with less light but it turns out to be more with less. Damn the bad luck! Has any one tried this type of lighting before? May just be a fluke, may not. I'm at a loss. This is them at 23 days old.
I read a thread years ago where someone did their own comparison between autos using different light schedules,( 24-0, 18-6, 12-12) and they found that the 18-6 worked best for the autos that they grew out. Something about the dark period seemed to promote more growth somehow. Sure, you can in fact grow these on a 24-0 schedule because of the Ruderallis in the autos, but the other part of the plant, Brooklyn Sunrise, Blue Dream or whatever, needs that dark period for some reason. Just my two cents, for what it is worth...
I'm doing both at the same time. The led's stay on and the big light is on the 18-6. I seen them act like a photo plant after the big light goes out. I got a cam set up to snap a pic every hour for 24 to see how they act. Should be finished by noon.
I didn’t get a lot off my blue dreamatic I was running low on my soil I think there was about 2 1/2 gallons in a 5g I only feed her plain tap water and a little Mammoth p and top dressed with Ewc and kelp a few times, but it is what it is. It’s looks and smells good I’ll take Quality over quantity any day! I’m running her again for sure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks Vegi! Yes there getting these autos to grow Nice. the yields and Quality is there your right Buddy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Great news Jack as always the vault Rocks! And goes the extra miles for there customers! Thank you guys. @bllhr I have thought about something similar, but w a four hr goal dark period, and the big light on for around half the light period ... Maybe bit less early and bit more later thru the cycle. Yeah vegi autos can be great and many are improving them more n more!
I flowered a Brooklyn outside and it yielded better weed and weight outside with 10 hours of sun than under both of my hortilux 315 cmh. I did one inside also Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
Hmm, makes me wonder if this whole "auto" thing is bullshit or not. That's just weird that it grew better outside than under lights. I was under the impression that one of the "claims to fame" about autos is that they are made specifically for growing under lights, indoors, on a consistent light schedule that required more light than darkness. On the other hand, I've seen threads where people were growing autos outside and they had to drag their plants indoors to give them more darkness because they weren't flowering, so I'm stumped. Could this be relative to the growing conditions? Maybe they will thrive regardless if you give them optimal nutrition? Y'know, California has always been noted as one of, if not the best place, in the world to grow plants in general. The weather is supposed to be ideal all year long, or at least that's what I've been told. Someone once told me that there is a city in California that pretty much stays 70F all year long. I don't remember where but that's what I remember anyway. Awesome info Papa! I'll take that advisement.
