Alright so here it is, for somebody who has never ventured into the Counter-strike world. Counter-Strike 1.6 (Original MOD for the Original HL engine) Counter-Strike Source (Using the new HL2 Engine) I would suggest you buy the Counter-Strike Source game ($20.00) Now in retail stores like (Best buy, target). When you purchase the game it will give you a CD key, this will give you access to your Steam Account. (Note: all transactions are registered through steam, so if you download a cd key or any other illegal way, you will not be able to because one steam key is registered to one account only. Thus even if you do get in you won't be able to play multiplayer.) One you register with steam, you can now download INSURGENCY MOD because it is a HL2 Modification. Download it here www.insmod.net (2.0). Alright, I have been playing counter-strike for 5+ years, although it is one of the best games around, they haven't changed much from the very beginning of the game. It gets boring and repetative after a while because there is basically little or no teamwork. Most players choose to take on 12-15 other players by themselves which makes the gameplay pretty redundant. I recommend you get Counter-Strike Source so you can download and play insurgency mod for free. This game relys on team work and squads of guys to voice communicate to reach objectives. It is an exciting game that will leave you wanting more. So download insurgency mod if you haven't already and add me to your steam friends so we can romp some ass. I actually downloaded this a while ago and I thought the game was pretty damn cool. I played it quite a bit but I remember it lagged quite a bit. But it was a while ago so they might of fixed that issue. Idk I think i'll stick with COD4 but I might hit this up later 2night
For sure, I remember the laggage in the beta 1 stage. Try out Beta 2, they fixed the lag issue and added a whole bunch of weapons. You should try it out and add me to your steam friends. Enjoy.
CSS player here but haven't tried this mod. I will download it though when I get on my PC. What's the deal with maps? Old maps+custom ones?
They are completely differen't maps compared to Counter-Strike Source (Unless it is a custom map, there are some.). The game takes place mostly in Iraq, where our marines face skirmishes with the insurgents. It's an intense game. I agree with you bro, this mod is action packed, from beginning to finish. I started a clan and so far we have some really chill people who like to team play. We are clan [Pi] and we number 4 right now (People wise). You are more than welcome to join us bro, our clan is all about tactics and rompaging the other persons team. My next project for the clan is to get a server going for all the clan members to come and hang out at. Dude, this game is fucking fun as hell. I think this is the only video game that has ever made me really pissed off. That's how fucking intense it is. I definitely recommend it if you want to try something a little different.
okay, i've tried it. But i found it to be a bit buggy, but this could be because i'm so used to playing cod4. Overall, yes definatly has potential. I'll keep following it, see where it goes. i like it overall. 8/10 if i were to rate it.
