Yeah its common sence really, the resin comes from the weed. Think the better the weed, the higher you will get from the resin. Though resin has more THC than the pot... someone correct me if I am wrong about that.

i have a love/hate relationship with resin... its good in a bind... but i dont like it hahahaha

I knifed a ball of resin teh size of a pea, I sat on my couch for 6 hours and could not function, period. Then I went to sleep for 20 hours. It was great, so great I did it again when I woke up...

i sure wouldn't smoke resin while i had pot to smoke, but it ok when i'm out, and it gives me something to do, my big glass pipe collects resin like a champ.

 

Resin is just nice to smoke when I'm low on bud or wanna take some THC straight to the head. Yeah, it isn't exactly tasteful, but as Goat said...it fucks ya up!

 

Use a clothes hanger... just straighten it out, perfect scraping tool. Though anyone I know would agree resin is gross and a pain in the ass to scrape... but I do knife hits so its easier to smoke rather than putting a ball of resin back into your pipe...

 

No,this isn't true.
Hash is more potent than bud,because the trichomes are extracted from the plant and made through various processes which then makes a more pure THC substance.

Resin on the other hand is just condensed smoke that is left from just sitting in the pipe,or clinging to the walls of the pipe more and more as it gets used.
It is less potent than bud for sure,but it has it's own form of potency.

So all in all,if you want to get something more potent than bud,you'll most likely have to extract the trichomes off the bud and make kief,hash,bubble hash,oil,etc.

 

My stash ran out yesterday and I was planning on a tolerance break, so I found myself sitting around with nothing to smoke. To me, tolerance breaks are just as much about giving my bank account as they are about tolerance. So I don't mind smoking, as long as I'm not spending money.

I scraped my two main pieces and then broke up some stems to sprinkle on top (at least it tastes like you're hitting greens). It got me sufficiently high, so you can't knock resin if you're in the right situation to be smoking it.

 

I enjoy resin when i have enough to get me stoned. I don't mind the taste much though as long as i can get a good hit off it, because afterwards you either don't care, or just brush your teeth, or eat some junior mints or something. Not a big deal that should spoil your resin smoking experience, i think people are just scared to truely get high

 

I've smoked resin only once or twice, it's different, I was very high but only for like 25-30mins, then I slept for a while. it's worth it in a bind, but I'd have to be very very dry to smoke it.

 

you guys are complainin about res? i have lived off resin for like 4 days when i was a teen. when the winter storm hit and we were all out, TADA we all had pipes, everyone got each other blitzed. dont be afraid to hit res. its the poor mans toke. trust me, it satisfies that urge.

 

after smoking weed for a good years resin is so nasty the high isnt that great only last like half an hour to an hour and makes you fucking exausted ,but its really good for dry spells you get all excited when you get a nice sized ball

 

resin gets me really burnt,usually.

Ill put some resin into a blunt and smear it on the phillie before i put bud in, makes it burn slower.

 

To clarify, THC is highly concentrated in resin.

What is resin?

Resin is a collection of THC, unburnt weed, cannabinoids, Tars, chemicals, etc, that are produced when the weed is burnt.

Now without question THC does concentrate in resin. That simply because it requires you to smoke quite a bit of any one peice in order to accumulate enough to re-smoke. So as the smoke passes through your pipe/bong/etc tiny THC particles are attaching to the walls. As more THC collects on the walls the faster it gathers. Also, as I mentioned the resin also tends to collect un-burnt weed and the cannabinoids.

The Cannabinoids, are for the most part are undesired traits of marijuana smoke.

Now how do you know THC is concentrated in Resin? Well simple, one or two resin hits will get you the same heady high that a whole bowl would.

I am all for resin when I dont have any weed. I can't tell you how many times scraping resin got me by over the years. However, because of the other chemicals in resin, it tends to be less of a pure high. When you smoke resin you are also burning all that other stuff too. So people tend to get headaches and other un-desired effects. Thats why I always recommend taking an Advil or two before smoking resin.

On a side note: Smoking resin will produce more resin in your pipe, just of a less concentrate then when it was first smoked.
