The Transporting Dilemma

Discussion in 'General' started by TheBrothersToke, May 8, 2011.

  1. I recently tossed a random seed in my yard not expecting anything to happen and forgot about it. I know it was kind of stupid, but its growing at full speed and I dont know what to do with it. I would like to harvest bud from it but I live in a tight suburb and its damn near impossible to let it grow without being noticed.

It's growing in some pretty shitty soil covered by pinestraw, but seems to be doing fine. I want to move it to a new location, much more concealed: an open and unmaintained meadow bordered by dense forest. The place is across town, so I'll need to drive it there somehow. I've already planned out an area with enough sunlight and good soil, I just need advice on how to actually transport the damn thing.

Here's the plant, I guess it's about 2 weeks old now.

  2. well, it's already just growing out in the open for everyone to see, is it much more of a risk to just put it in a pot and drive it over there?

  3. wow, what the hell, I must have thrown dozens of seeds in my fertilized landscaping... god damn what's the chance?

  4. put it in a box and drive it over there.

  5. 1. Get a bucket
    2. Dig up the root ball
    3. Put in bucket
    4. Drive to new site
    5. Plant at new site
    6. Water/Fertilize
    7. Repeat step 6 as often as necessary

    SUCCESS!

  6. Thats what i thought, just wanted some other opinions. Thanks

  7. Looks like it's doing pretty well..

I'd just dig it up, chuck it in a plastic bag and take it to the new location.

  8. I would recommend doing it at night. And reading up lots of stuff in the growing section

  9. when digging it give it a good spades length squesred, then pat of the excess after its out of the ground, dont damage the roots!

funny the same thing happend to me in my back garden <3 moved it to my wardrobe and its comming up fineee :D

  10. well, i moved it. damaged the roots pretty bad but its all good, i think. i watered it and it still seems to be doing alright so i'll let you know how it looks in a couple months.

  11. Transport it to some forest or lake or something lol.
