Everyday in my fucking life i read more and more bullshit about politics. The latest being a bill that would make it illegal to grow, share, trade, and sell home grown food. "If accepted [S 510] would preclude the public's right to grow, own, trade, transport, share, feed and eat each and every food that nature makes. It will become the most offensive authority against the cultivation, trade and consumption of food and agricultural products of one's choice. It will be unconstitutional and contrary to natural law or, if you like, the will of God." It is similar to what India faced with imposition of the salt tax during British rule, only S 510 extends control over all food in the US, violating the fundamental human right to food." ~ Dr. Shiv Chopra, Canada Health whistleblower. This needs to stop. we have to revolt and stop the government from pushing us around. WE MUST END FREE TRADE. WE MUST END THE FEDERAL RESERVE BANK. WE MUST STOP THIS BILL FROM CONTROLLING WHAT WE EAT. THE TIME IS NOW. THIS IS OUR FUCKING COUNTRY, LETS TAKE BACK THE FREEDOM OUR FATHERS FAUGHT SO HARD TO GET. Our future is a nation is bleek. Everything about this counrty is on a decline because of limp dick politicians who only care about how much money big business will pay them to fuck everyone over! We cant even legalize a fucking plant for god sakes! One that has proven itself time and time again to be beneficial in multiple aspects. The news is getting out, more and more peolpe are hearing about this stuff and something has to happen soon, so lets make it happen!
you dont belive it? have you ever heard of mansanto? Well the new food czar to the FDA, Michael Taylor, is the bridge between mansanto and the government.
I'm going to rebel and become the real-life Johnny Appleseed. I'll also plant weed and avocados. Avocados should be plentiful
Respectfully, it sounds like someone is spreading some crap: S 510, tracked here: S. 510 [111th]: FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (GovTrack.us) Never even went to a vote in the House, never signed by the President, and died as a result. The bill was created in response to the contaminated egg problem of 2009-2010, and targets factory farms only. In fact, the bill specifically protects people who grow their own food! Section 103, subsection L (the bill's full text is available at the above link), specifically states that anyone producing less than $500,000/year in foodstuffs is completely exempt! This would exempt many small farms, let alone people who tend their own gardens. Please do your own research, don't just take people's word for what some random act of congress does, actually look it up and read the text!
I hear you bro. They are stripping our rights from us one day at a time. The more laws they pass coincidentally the less freedom we end up with. And they're passing laws like it's nobody's business. Listen to this and get ready for the revolution! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQPK-1vHmVs]YouTube - KiD CuDi - REVOFEV (Official Lyrics Video)[/ame]
Random thought after reading this thread. Can someone ditto an already ditto'd ditto? Is that acceptable?
[quote name='Sunshine86']I was with you, more or less, until you suggested ending free trade.[/QU please, tell me one reason it is sensible to send our jobs over to china for cheap labor when those jobs can be kept here for americans. If you haven't noticed, when you pay your taxes it funds those little things like umm...the military. BUT when someone doesnt have a fuckign job how can they feed into the tax base. they cant is the answer. So, please tell me why we should send our jobs to other countries.
1. Economic freedom is necessary for a free society. Companies should have the right to conduct business with whomever they please, wherever they please. The Founding Fathers were strong advocates of international trade for this reason. 2. Discontinuing trade with other nations would put strain on the U.S. economy, the variety of goods available to Americans will decrease, and the price of goods that are still available will increase.
We don't need to end free trade, we need to end free trade agreements that only benefit globalization such as NAFTA and GAT and all the other WTO trade agreements. Your on the right track but you still have a lot to learn as we all do. I have been waiting for 2 years for the revolution, I have come to the realization that unless the TV tells us to revolt the shit isn't going to happen. Too many apathetic disenfranchised sheep out there.
So, when there are shortages and higher prices following discontinuation of globalized trade, who in your opinion will suffer? Will it be the rich, who have the money to pay higher prices, including shipping costs should product shortages occur, or will it be the poor who are already scraping to get by? Ending free trade agreements = great way to directly hurt the poor. So, you've been "waiting" for 2 years, but OTHER PEOPLE are the ones who are apathetic and disenfranchised? Why because they're failing to "actively" wait?
