People say this so much it's not even funny. "I busted my ass to pay the rent". Please fool no you didn't you are a fucking cashier. Even my own parents often said how they busted their ass to get me into the home we lived. Kay sure, being a mailman is hard, but it's nothing compared to a Marine, or just dangerous work in general, like high-rise construction, coal mines. THAT is busting your ass, not fucking delivering bullshit mail. I'm getting pretty sick of it. If anyone ever tells you that they "busted their ass" to get where they are now, just let them know how easy and stupid their job most likely is and how it's nothing compared to, say, the construction workers who laid the Alaskan pipeline in -80 degree weather.

That term alone just made me laugh my ass off but I guess what you're saying, there are a lot of difficult work positions out there are being served and those are the ones busting their ass but maybe they are talking about in financial situations where they aren't stable in keeping up with the bills.
