The Soul's Journey: Phase 1

  1. I was really thinking hard on it the other day, the meaning of life, and how everyone has their own unique past.

It was 1:30 am and i had just rolled a fat fat joint. My buddy danny and i went on a walk and i lit up this huge joint under a streetlight, where a huge cloud of smoke billowed into the sky. We turned around and saw someone looking out there window and closing it. That little girl will forever remember when she saw this guy in the street lighting up a joint, and in about 6 years it will all make sense to her.

We got to talking. Here is my theory:

What if life on earth (each individuals life) is just the beginning stage of the journey our soul takes. What if there are several other stages that your soul must pass through after you die, and the dead hold this secret with them as their soul travles on.

Does anyone else get it? If not here is what i mean..

    The Soul's Journey:

Step 1: Life on earth (Living, growing up, dying... some people reach the end of this step faster than others.)

Step 2: (Your soul goes on to the next step of the spiritual journey)

    Step 3: same as above

    and so on.

No this is not reincarnation, simply a journey your soul takes (Life & death being the first & second steps of it)

  2. i get it, sounds awesome. i almost want to kill myself to find out...

    kiddin' :smoking:

  3. I've always considered that.

Though, I think we're probably bound to experience many more lives here on (earth) before we move on...

Ressurection seems plausible. But it would be the absolute worst thing to happen.

Life is to prepare us for whatever is next (which is probably a helluva bigger challenge than this place)

  4. and then theres a bigger step after that.

I love you all... you're on my same wavelength lol.

  5. Man I sure hope there is something after death because it's insane to think of your existence just terminating.

  6. Think of how unique a "life" is. Everyone has their own, and to get to the point where they are, they've had to live through alot to get there, and everyone has their own experiences, emotions, feelings, everything... What makes our individual lives so important than anyone elses? While i sit here typing this, you realize from your point of view as i realize from mine, we've only ever walked in our own shoes, and to completely walk in anyone elses, its impossible. We will never see out of anyone elses eyes (certain exceptions, transplants etc), We will never think with anyone elses brain, fuck, how do we know if we're normal? what if we've been living in pain our entire life and don't even know it because we are so numb to it. What if its just a metaphor for everything you have to endure in life to grow older?

Everyone human life is of equal value. That value is 0. Why? Because a price can't be put on a human life. We hear of 25 people being killed in the latest israel bombings.. innocent people. Just like you and me. We hear of gang violence, and people getting shot in the street...

Now think of your life, and how valuable it is to you, and the people you love. Now think if your life was terminated immediately.

    Bam.

Nothing matters anymore, everything you have ever worked for goes invalid, your travels unwind, and nothing matters anymore. You're just a soul now, and all that you did when you were alive means nothing to you now, hopefully you change other's lifes and your legacy lives on, but i guess its not important to some people... Some people are just, as they say, dust in the wind. Its unfortunate.

We have to live our lives to be good people.

Depressing to think about? To some.

    True?
    yep.

I'm gonna go smoke another bowl. holla

  7. What's to say that our existence on earth is the first step of the soul's journey? Did conscience existence start with humans? It's mind boggling that for a period of time we can't even imagine, the universe has existed and been taking form. Billions of years of supernovas exploding, planets forming and galaxies swirling have gone by silently before anything even remotely ressembling humans was ever there to witness it.

But does that mean it never happened? I think that consciousness exists from humans to animals, all the way down to molecules and atoms. Some quantum wave theories stipulate that consciousness is actually tied in with the very fabric of the universe.

I think that consciousness has been an ever-evolving process of which humans are only the latest part. If our level of existence would be inconceivable to an atom, what can we hope to imagine about the nature of levels higher than us?

  8. For better or worse this scary thought is one of few soul reasons religion exists and will exist as long as humans do (or any life-form that has a sense of self).

  9. QFT. The way you said it sounded very scientific too!:smoke:

  10. when the electricity in your brain stops firing... i think you just end... no more electricity = no more thoughts. its not even scary to me, becuase once your dead, you dont even know your dead.. its like how it was before you were born... nothingness

  11. asadmeow hit the nail on the head. Wow, to think that we've already experienced non-existence. Why is death so scary to everyone, when they've already been through it? We've already felt nothing, we've already been non-existent. What makes death so much different than before birth?

  12. would it really matter if this is it

i think not if you make the best of your time here then who cares if death is it
