The first time I watched The Secret was in January earlier this year. After I watched it, I then decided to try it out and believe. I got a blank piece of paper and wrote 3 things I wanted to have. The first wish was a new computer. The second wish was to move out and find a place of my own. And the third was to make atleast 5 grand a month. At the time I wrote this, I was unemployed. 2 months later, I find a way of making some money. I calculated it and found I could make $5000 a month if I worked on the weekends. After 3 months I wrote this, I bought a new computer. Costed it around $2000. 3 more months later, I move out. I'm renting a house with a buddy. So is this all a coincidence or was it the secret?
It's no secret that by setting goals and going after them, you can achieve almost anything with the right attitude!
That's the secret! Most people set goals, but many scupper them by allowing doubt, fear, to exist along the way. In order to achieve something you first have to believe it's possible. The secret reveals that you can choose to believe anything is possible, whatever you feel resonates with you, and manifest it into existence.
So an amputee lacking a foot, just need to wish really hard for a new foot to grow, and by magic, it will happen? Or perhaps a starving out-of-luck draught ridden farmer in Ethiopia just need to wish really hard for a good crop and fat cows, will by some miracle make it rain and corn grow in abundance for all to eat, cows included? Mmmmm, I think not. Amputees don't grow new limbs, but they can get prostethics. Some very good ones given sufficient funds. And systemic agricultural failings in dry parts of Africa won't be solved by any wishfull thinking, but by investment in infrastructure and sustainable artificial irrigation. That the OP got to his (short-term) goals, have less to do with wishfull thinking, or coincidense, and more to do with actually beeing industrious enough to achieve his goals by working towards and for them. My wish right now is a good cold beer. If I just wish for it, nothing will happen. If I get off my ass, and walk to the fridge, my wish will come true. Cheers

Dude in grade 10 i watched the secret. Decided to try it out on this girl ive been lovin for the longest time. I knew for a fact she wouldnt ever like me so i tried to forget about her and hate her. After 4-5 months of wanting her and constantly thinking bout her, i forgot about her over the summer. Next year in grade 11 she sat next to me in 2 classes and her locker was right next to me. We started talking. She admits she likes me. I admit i like her. And now were the closest of friends and i couldnt ask for more. We never established a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship because we both agreed those get fucked up tremendously in highschool cause people spit shit and are immature assholes. To this day we are closer then weve ever been and still like each other. Its a friends with benefits deal. No one knows about it. Its wierd though cause i was 100% solid that things would never work out. Never. Like ever. Guess if you want something bad enough you get it. Essentially the secret. Btw the seating and lockers were complete coincedence.
As we speak, I am visualizing this thread ending soon, as of right now. There is nothing more I want, I will think about it everyday and write it down. Thank you to whom ever comments and proves me wrong.

Have you guys seen the movie? Its not about wishing something you hope will come true. Its about knowing you want something and you will get that said something. Its a good movie with a great idea thats always been around, just suppressed by some because they dont believe you can achieve anything you set your mind too. And credit goes to the negative ones who take it literal to only prove some form of a point (amputee example)

The secret can be called whatever you want it to be called. If you believe in it, it works. If you don't, it doesn't. Simple as that. If it doesn't work for you, don't blame the movie/cult/religion/society/conspiracy theory/ etc.. Blame yourself for not believing!
I don't know. I used to believe it when I was a teen, watched the movie a lot, and read the books. But I don't think anything happened from it. I think it's likely bullshit, there is no "force" or something to it, it's just that you changing your perception and get motivated and actually take action, which results in getting things you want. The only time I'd believe it's something supernatural is to many coincidences happen or if you do nothing but sit on your ass and try to attract money, and then random people or w.e just gives you money for no reason, something that doesnt involve taking action.
The Secret is not only believing, but having to act on it. We are powerful beyond measure. The universe has unlimited possibilities. So why can't anything be possible?
