The scary thing is that this isn't all that far-fetched... I watch a lot of survivor man so I'll be ok when the blackouts come...
In Thailand, it took them about 8-9 months. I think in every country, it will be different. But I think no country in the world can last more than 12 months. I am so , I don't know what to say. Damn right...
The black out was actually a covert sabotage operation that the South had launched on the North. A well executed millitary operation caused the entire North to go into a complete blackout, and the North was not able to recover the system in time, before the people turned into bandits.

The harsh winter of North America took its toll on the people, who had suddenly lost all their ability to warm themselves due to relying too much on technological tools, which most of the tools ran on some sort of energy whether it be electrical, or any other source of energy, such as oil, gas, coal, palm trees. Corn. Beef. Chicken. Various kinds of meat. Grains. Like, rice, wheat, barley, maze, coconut trees.
It was the rich people who died first. Then the old ones. Then the adults. Then the younger adults. Until only the children were left. It was the younger ones who could outstand the cold the longest. Until they found themselves a place with energy. Energy to make fire. And get themselves warm. And with a hungry stomach and tired mind, they wonder, "What the fuck is going on?"
Every morning, thousands of people were found dead, frozen in their last nights' beds. And during the day, thousands more died, due to gun and stab wounds. At night more people died, and in the morning, it was the same again. While all this was happening, people in the South, such as Dallas, were completely unaware of the melt down that was going on in the North. In fact, they believed that the federal government had already moved in with emergency supply and helping the people in the North. The people in the South were shown images of the government soldiers shovelling snows and handing out aid items to the people. They even showed an interview of a man, apparantly in Chicago, saying, "Thanks to our soldiers, we are saved!" with a big smile. But little did they know, everything was staged. It was rape, steal, and kill in the North, and the only safe place was at the USA-Canadian border, which had gone from being world's most peaceful border, to world's most deadly border.
The older ones either died, or got themselves killed. The younger ones, managed to stay alive, and not get themselves killed. They had no family to protect. They had no children to look after. They were alone. They were free. When the world around them had gone mad, they kept their youth and stayed not only sane, but alive as well.
Where are we going with this? Live THIS life and don't worry about the future. But how can I not worry about the future? I got my children... It'll be their's to worry about. You just do THIS one correct, and you'll be fine. Really? Have some belief... -- How to become someone. -- How to become someone? How to become... an actress? Or a singer? How to become the president of USA? How to become anyone? By first believing in yourself. That you are that you are. If you want to become an actress, you got to believe that you ARE an actress. Doesn't matter you don't have a job as an actress, or doesn't matter if you've never been filmed before in your life. If you think you're an actress, you're an actress no matter what. Actually thinking that you are that you are is easy. Believing is the hard part. You've got to believe!! Halleluja!
Because a huge solar flare will knock out the electric power system in the Northern parts of Earth. Actually it'll happen in Scotland, Scandinavian nations, and parts of Russia as well. But in Europe, the system will be restored in about a week. But in North America, the South will sabotage the North's recovery and keep the North powerless. Why? Because the South saw the need for a NEW America.
