Not sure how many watched this, but here's the link.

Ken Ham got owned pretty bad, but naturally it was expected.

  2. I saw this last night and was a bit disappointed in bill nye but he still made good arguments. Ham just kept using "it's true because the bible says so"

  3. yea all ken would say was "well all these super smart scientists are creationists also so that must mean its true"...learned some cool facts from bill though

  4. Evolution is dumb. Everyone knows deep down, God created us all.

    Bill Nye: The Science Lie

I think Bill was trying to keep his nice and friendly image and most of the crowd were most likely Kentucky creationists.  He could have intellectually embarrassed Ken Ham, but he was trying to just share science not an asshole attitude.  He's a better man than me, I would have been much harder on Ham.

LOL, you always crack me up Twistedd.

  6. It is possible we were both created and evolved.  It does not have to be one or the other.

  7. You must be new lmao.

    Ken went Ham y'all.

Bill Nye confirms that this is a reality for billions of religious people.  Bill's attacks are targeted not at any gods nor theists, but at the model presented by Ken Ham and other early earth creationists.

  9.
When you say "early Earth," are you saying that dinosaur bones were put here by God to test our faith? Because the Earth is definitely +/- 6,000 years old.

  10.
Early earth creationists date the age of the earth based on information from the Bible.  Pretty sure you already know this, or would have found out from watching the debate.

  11. I already know it. I only watched it for about an hour though. I got bored of it quick. I was watching the JRE podcast today with Cara Santa Maria and she was talking about the debate and how much of a nutjob Ken is lmao.

Have any of you noticed Bill and Ken both have 3 letter first and last names lmao.

  12. Bill is 4 letters

No it's 3. You're a talking dog, what do you know?

For real though, I need to stop smoking. When you can't tell Bill is 4 letters, you're too high.

  14. How to count

  15. It's so silly when creationists point to one of their own and say "look! This scientist believes us!"

Meanwhile there are thousands of "Steves" who not only disagree with their Christian creationist shite, but can prove them wrong.

Anyway... what makes the biblical story of creation any more valid than any other religions or cultures stories of creation?

  16. The holy ghost told them.

I just think christian gods a dick if he really judges us based on what the first humans did that he created anyways...and then he sent himself in human son form to be tortured and killed for such sins that again he made in the first place..we didnt even have a chance

  18. I look at science as a religion. Some may disagree but that's how I feel. I don't believe it's a bad thing though.

  19.
    Are you trolling?

  20. I really like Bill. He seems like a kind, humble guy.

To be honest, I eventually just started fast forwarding through Ken Ham just to hear the scientific information Bill was laying down. To me, it seems like Bill was more or less trying to persuade those people of Kentucky to embrace real scientific education, rather than "defeat" Ken Ham. (which he did anyways)

Ken spent the whole debate avoiding the central points of the questions and arguments that were presented to him.
