Republicans: A party of bad ideas Democrats: A party of no ideas The US is ripe for several more parties to break the hegemony of the two established parties. You need a conservative party, a social-democratic party. You need a liberal party and a populist party. The donkeys and elephants have had their snouts and trotters in the feeding-troth for so long now, that they think they own it all. And when you get right down to it, they don't even disagree on central issues. It's more a system of one party, two factions, than anything else. The constant mudslinging is just a conjurer trick to make people think there are real differences between the two parties.
I couldn't agree more with you (I'm a libertarian personally). The conservatives sit on a lot of things that they refuse to part with, but they actually agree with having a free market economy and personal liberties. The democrats are just socialists now, national socialists for a more accurate measure. Seems like America needs a new way of thinking.
