Ok, so I was reading this recently: http://www.marxists.org/archive/lafargue/1883/lazy/ And even though it was written in the late 1800s, I have to say I'm taken in by the idea that laziness should, in fact, be praised rather than condemned. I am not a marxist, but I have recently had questions regarding the commercialist ventures of capitalism. The only way one can be happy in a capitalist society is either to enjoy their off time from work so much that work seems but a necessary chore. Even in the most wonderful circumstances, work seems but play due to the enjoyability it endows to those who desire such a profession, but why not be happy doing nothing? This is definately a stoner philosophy, but I realize now that perhaps this is why we are so hated as a subculture; because we have been associated with laziness and depravity in a society that promotes hard work, regardless of the individual or cultural reasonings behind it. I simply feel that happiness lies in the simple pleasures as those, to me, seem more spiritual than the act of work, even if working for oneself. How do you guys feel on this subject? Do you prefer work or laziness? I know most of you will say both, and this is understandable, but which do you PREFER? If you could only choose one to do for the rest of your life, would you choose to be the laziest mofo on the earth or the hardest working mofo on the earth?
You have to be able to do both. Have responsiblity, and be lazy. You can do both. When I'm not at work, (acutally I smoke just as much when i'm at work) shit, i'm usually getting lit. So of course i'm lazy.
How can there be anything wrong with being lazy...? Its like saying "more money, more problems" damn you a naive cat and you better believe that. Fuck If it was up to me Id move to some tropical island right fuckin now and spend the rest of my life growing weed and chillen on the beach.

its just not right to be lazy. just becuase we evolved to be smart and high tech doesnt give us the right to just stop all the hard work we been doing since mankind was created. we gotta continue working hard and finish what we starded. PPL that work hard live long lives. PPL that are lazy live short lives!
