I hate chilling at someone's place when they have shitty speakers for music... i guess it is a little arrogant but I just hate shitty speakers. Things like blasting a cell phone speakers, using standard computer speakers as the usual way to present music, and other things involving crappy speakers just bug me. i really hate it when it's on youtube too. youtube rips apart the quality of music when the files are compressed and speakers with no middle, no bass, and just treble suck! i especially hate it when people play dubstep on their cell phones in public, it never carries the song across appropriately and i don't know why people bother. i'm fortunate i have my stereo... it makes listening to music so much better. I mean, it's cool that people listen to their music and i understand some just can't afford it but still bugs me audiophile i guess My stereo is a Sony LBT zx99i and the headphones are Bose Quiet Comfort 15 to give an idea of the stereo's size, the remote in the picture is five inches in real life
Ya, I have all nice speakers that I put into my car then when I drive in my friends car with him and he blasts music im like "ehhhhhhhhhh, i dont wanna hear that want me to help you put in some better speakers?"
seriously, this kid i know drives around this shitty old camaro and people want me to get in his car fairly often and i never really like it. one, it's an old camaro. two; the speakers buzz and just sound so dry! my nice stereo isn't in a car though; i have to ride a bike right now, but i have a nice 4-line in my room with speakers in each corner
Yea I got 2 12's in my car but shitty speakers in my room so fuck it I guess, as long sas there is music Im not complaining.
some music is alright with low-quality speakers, but when it comes to music with lots of important sounds having high quality speakers is great. i love having mine
My Dad is a musician and I grew up being an audiophile. So I can see where you are coming from. I can't stand tinny sounding speakers. A lot of the locals here tend to have crappy sounds systems so they usually boost the treble to it's max to make it sound "louder". Annoys me to no end My "traveling" speakers (lol) are a pair of M-Audio Studiophile AV-40's (monitor speakers) and my main ones are M-Audio Studiophile DSM3's (notice any brand preference here lol)
Just so you know, I give two fucks if you don't like me playing music on my iPhone speakers or cell phone speakers. I even connect my computer speakers to my iPod and bump that! I'm going to blast my "shitty sounding" music through my "shitty sounding speakers" everytime I come across a person that maybe named Eric
I didn't really know my brands when I decided to get my stereo, but it's nice, it's a LBT XZ99i Muteki Hi Fi I'm not saying your music preference is shitty, I just hate the quality that is being blasted. You know you're not hearing so many frequencies, right? So many bits of the music are cut out... go for it, it's just annoying to force your music onto people in public; but if that's what you want to do I can't really do anything about that.
OH NO YOU DIDN'T. NEEEGGGG RRREEEpPPpP RAPPPEEEE, Jk. I was just fuckin around. I too dislike people forcing their fellow walkerby to hear their music. But I do love to bump my iPod through my computer speakers. I got some Sony Vaio's, they seem to cut it.
They are good hey! It's like listening to headphones but not! Sometimes it is too good though. You can hear the badly recorded songs too clearly haha
hah no my parents wouldn't spend that much money on me for christmas. i've had my stereo for about 5 months now.
Yeah, I know the system. Made by Sony. Damn good sound on that, very clear. I have heard on a similar model. 720watts I think. Might be wrong though. Bet your friends dig your sound
I agree fully. I'm a bit of an audiophile too and I cannot stand it when people start playing music on shitty speakers. It is definitely worth it to get some quality speakers, there's a world of difference. One time, a friend of mine decided to play Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon on his shitty computer speakers, and I had to use every last bit of my will not to kill the man where he stood. Never, EVER, should Dark Side of the Moon be played on shitty speakers.
100% agree with your rant man. I have a set of Harmon Kardon Soundsticks and they are fucking sublime especially for the price I paid. My roommate has a shitty pair of computer speakers and he always tries to show me these "wicked awesome!" songs (which imo aren't all that great to begin with) Another thing is that girls NEVER have a good sound system. Have you ever been to a party hosted by a female, ever notice how you can never hear the music (not to mention the music is usually boy bands, miley cyrus and kesha).. just terrible. /rant. good topic.
yeah, 720 watts and it's a 4 line so each speaker has 180 watt drive to it. my room feels 'warm' with music hah, yeah I was going to say that there is a Pink Floyd night on one of the radio stations on fridays and my friend has shitty speakers in his car and he was playing it and it was terrible, all of pink floyd is the best on a record to get the true vibrations but i can appreciate it well yeah; I agree. The best I've known a girl to have is my girlfriends and it's 'alright' other then that it is rather pitiful. guys are relied on for that sort of shit and if they aren't it's our fault for not taking the responsibility really.. what annoys me the most is when i go into town and I see raver/hipsters walking around with iphones/blackberries blasting techno/dubstep on them. it just sounds so dry and scratchy..
Oh man, I sure wish I had DSOTM on vinyl. My dad probably does, actually. Maybe I should go through his records and see if I can find it.
That'd be an ultimate find. I'd personally love to have Meddle on vinyl the most but really a whole collection would be nice... damn, I knew one guy who spent about 2,300 on his sound-system in his house... that thing was beautiful.
