More like a tax on hoarders and the system that enables them that upsets the balance of power in our society. That tax on success would benefit every Trump supporter. Since polling indicates the majority of Americans are in favor of taxing the rich, the losers out number the winners. You choose to ignore truth and statistics much like the man child king that the mouth breathers put into office.
In all fairness the tax rate was increased due to war prior to the 50's. The world was in ruins, this actually boosted our economy as most had to purchase from us to rebuild. I'm not saying the rich should keep all the money in the world, but in today's world they really could stash their money overseas or some other venue, tax loopholes, ect. It's a huge mess.
True. Billionaires don't pay taxes, they get tax funded bailouts. Socialism for them, capitalism for the rest of us.

They were patriots all over, here and abroad fighting. Everyone did what they could period, and were happy to do so. It’s not as though anyone will convince him socialism is bad. So I gave up early.
