I'd sit in a tree sniper style all camoed out and pick anybody off that starts my way.

 

Rob the police station and gear up, raid the armory in town. Steal some plasma cutters and OxyAcetelene torches from the high school. Rob a few banks by cutting our way in. After that go kill everyone i don't like. Rob drug dealers. Burn a few places down. Maybe kill some political figures.

If the purge was real then people could rape anyone which is probably what anyone out there would do anyway so I would protect people and look like the guys from hobo with a shotgun.
