The problem with Money.

  1. There is a problem with money and our human nature. This is what I mean.

Regardless which city you live, this is the basic set up of a city, suburb, and rural area. The poor class tends to be in areas near downtown. The houses also are clustered. Houses may not be on top but their are a lot of houses on each block. It's like the poor are stacked up right outside cities.

Then you have the middle class (second pic). They can be a little clustered but they lie in suburbs or suburban like areas. They tend to have more property than the poor class. They have a better house, it's more luxurious.

Then you have the 3rd and 4th picture. The rich become more separated. The tend to live away from the middle and poor class. They are self secluded. They don't mingle much with the lower classes.

The rich are isolated and they isolate themselves. I though it was interesting that human separate themselves by social class, which is based off of wealth.
The president of the US is typically a wealthy man. Which is what the 4th pic is for. The leader of the country is completely separated from the people.

The problem with money is that it separates people. The bigger problem is that control of government trickles up the social ladder, which is depended upon wealth. The rich (1% of population) control everyone else (99%) and they are completely separated from the majority of the people.

Government is controlled by a very small portion of the population which leads to many problems. Rich control the middle and poor class by using the government. This has led to revolutions, genocides, and world wars. The rich can only use the poor so much before they revolt.

Money defines social classes and power. A small rich class has a lot of power, they become out of touch with 99% of the population, which they control.

You know how people say you change. Think about much people change win they win a lottery. Wiz Khalifa Singa about how people think he has changed.

It's money, and people change when they get more money and jump social classes.

Money controls people and dictates how they interact socially. Which becomes a problem when they have control of government which effects everyone.

  2. Nothing speeds up transfer of wealth to the already wealthy faster than giving them free-reign on the printing press that creates currency. Especially when the state will put you in jail for using other currencies. Money is not evil in itself, the monetary system is inherently structured so that the established maintain their lines of credit and their shot at the currency first. Our savings just lose value all the while.

  3. Money is a drug. Weak minded people succumb to it and change because of it.

It doesn't necessarily have to change people tho. 10% of the population will always be conscious of their actions.

  4. Money is a medium which enables indirect exchange and the division of labor, which form the backbone of nearly all human economic advancement.

Money inherently has no "problem/s", only extreme virtues.

People who think money is bad are saying that indirect exchange is bad, and we should return to an extremely primitive society where almost none have any wealth except the kings/lords.

    It's ignorant in the extreme.

  5. I'm sure the people who are rich and dominate this government are concious of their actions. And look what they have done to the middle
And poor class in this country.

And what they are doing is not new, it's been happening for over 4,000 years.

  6. Money is not bad. Bad people with money are bad. But you think another system could be devised so greedy people can't control
    An entire population with paper.

It seems we should use something else to measure "wealth" that any be so manipulated so easily.

Well, if you got money, you buy a larger house. Thus because of the amount of space your house takes up, you need area.

other than that, where are you going with this? humans are pleasure seekers. the only thing that separates us from animals is that we can calculate include suffering to receive pleasure in the future.

money is a great source of purchasing power of pleasure. thats why its the most desired commodity. what happens when you give a poor person money? they become rich, and similar to other rich people. its the money and the power the money brings that corrupts indefinitely. capitalism assists this because at a very base level capitalism rewards profiting off others labors.

thus the few become fewer and the many become more. and the pyramid ever grows, until the bottom of the pyramid gets pissed, and the pyramid rescrambles itself. such is the way of life and human existence damn im so smigh (SMarthIGH) it's interesting though, because even though abstract or higher forms of consciousness does allow for peace without $, i still have a burning desire to climb my way up the pyramid because its just ingrained in our dna to seek teh pleasure and money is one of the greatest ways to achieve this based in the reality we apes have constructed for ourselves.

  8. Money is a necessity for exchange. If our population wasn't as big as it was I'm sure a barter/trade system would be set up, but our population size does not allow this. With people so diverse and in different regions of a country, a common medium for exchange... i.e. money.

As much as money corrupts, it is a necessary evil with our current global situation.

  9. The government has given a legal monopoly on the issuance of currency to a quasi private bank (the Fed). There is no mystery that it's abused.

The power to choose a currency must remain with the people in order for money to work FOR the people.

See: Ron Paul's plan for competing currencies.

  10. Fuck ron paul. Fuck you. Fuck her, and fuck the op of this thread. And fuck you Al Gore.

  11. There are no problems with money. There are problems with fiat currencies being controlled by a cabal of international bankers, but money as a concept has no inherent issues.

  12. you a socialist?

  13. It's more then just the FED. This has been a problem since government and civilization were created. Each social class is determined by wealth. The higher in the social order you go, the more power and the more secluded you get. It's bad when a hand full of wealthy people make their own decisions that affect the 99% of the people they control. They are out of touch.

Money is not the only problem, but wealth determines power and social class so wealth is the main issue.

The higher you go in the social class, the more secluded you become from the people you begin to control.

Competing currencies would be good for the US now, but wealth determining social class has been a problem that has plagued civilization for 4000+ years.

  14. I don't see what you're getting at.

You want everyone to be poor? There will always be stratification. Is this a case for communism or something? Collective ownership, all that jazz?

The wealthy can't purchase power if there is no power to purchase, just sayin'. You should focus on the power aspect (the state) rather than the wealth aspect. Anarcho capitalism broski.

  15. You bitch

  16. Yeah... thats right

  17. money is just an easier method of trading. The problem with it is that people can just print more whenever they want.

  18. Money is just a common medium of efficient exchange.

  19. " MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL IF WE DIDN'T HAVE MONEY PEOPLE WOULD STOP BEING SO GREEDY AND THE WORLD WOULD BE A BETTER PLACE!!!!"

  20. That is exactly what needs to happen. Power and money need to be seperated. Wealthy people run governments, they also become secluded by choice and rule people they don't know. It's a problem that has plagued government. Leaders do not know how or who they rule because they do not interact with thier citizens.

Think about the lines of Louis in France. Louis XIV had built the Palace of Versialles 12 miles away from the Capital in Paris. A number of kings after him ruled France from that Palace. It was a ba time in French history because French citizens were starving because the Kings abused their powers. The kings knew what was going in but did nothing about it, because they secluded themselves from the poor and did not see how they lived.

I'm just sayin that the people who rule should not seclude themselves. And the people that rule are wealthy... 99% o the time.
