I just saw Big Hero 6 earlier today, and it was pretty cool. Except one thing bothered me through the whole movie. It took place in "San Fransokyo" which is, as you guessed, San Fran mixed with Tokyo. The whole background for the movie was oriental themed, right down to the Golden Gate Bridge. Most of the characters were at least some sort of Asian, and it's all centered on robotics. So, idk if it's supposed to be an Oriental story, but made Americanized by Pixar, out the other way around. Or the fact that the smart robotics students were all Asian in some way, and it's a long joke in how they're smarter than us. Or saying possibly that China and Japan are going to take over and this will be the product? Maybe I'm looking too far into it (it IS a family/kids movie after all). Thoughts? Anyone else seem this movie and care to expand?
