    I have been watching the "talks" at the TED convention all day. I thought this particular lecture byMichael Pollen was pertinent to this forum.

    The link isn't working, but I would just like to point out that currently, the majority of our energy comes from dead plants in the form of fossil fuels.

    I've watched a couple of the TED talks. They are all available on youtube if you search "TED talks". I saw the one on mushrooms and how they are so vital to our planet and how we could use fungi and mushrooms to solve many of the world's environmental problems. It really made me appreciate mushrooms besides just the psylocibes.
