I have been reading a bit recently into the psychology of influence and speaking(as well as non verbals). I was at the bar this past Sunday and I noticed some kid kept looking at me. I was not threatened but it was starting to irk me. The next time I felt his gaze fall on me I just turned to the side casually and maintained eye contact for about fifteen seconds. He laughs then talks to his friends for a second and looks back at me. I am just grave faced staring at him still. Upon completion of the second stent of eye contact he turned away quickly and did not even look over to that portion of the bar for the rest of the night. I am by no means a tough guy or confrontational it was the first test I carried out in a public setting with unknowing participants. Do you blades/bladies have any instances in which maintaining a solid eye contact has assisted you in a situation?
Everytime i catch someone staring at me constantly I always stare back at them until they look away and i keep doing it until they stop staring so much. works every time.
Would be hard to prove but I think robbers avoid victims who are alert and looking around. They like clueless victims.
Kids always stare at me, so i stare back and that is usually the end of that. Or at least until they get their parents attention and start pointing, then get scolded for pointing.
Whoring out on the tags, I see. Nice. Eye contact is something that I've spent a lot of time mulling over. It bothered me to no end that nobody in the city ever made eye contact, because I was raised (in the country) to acknowledge the people I pass on the street. It bothers me more when people don't make eye contact, than when they stare. If someone wants to stare at me, go for it. I'll just go about my business. I'd stare at me too. I'm hot shit.
I used to be real good with eye contact but as of recently a lot of social anxiety has been coming back from when I was younger. Stopped using a lot of drugs and realized I need to get my shit in order. I was at the bar a few nights ago and blew picking this girl up because I started over thinking it and wasn't maintaining eye contact.

The power of your eyes is a strong one. I can make girls come to me and give their number, without even talking to them, just with my eyes from a distance. Love that, if I'm with a girl I can also make her make the first move with my eyes. It's like mental control.

Man.. I got 6 private messages to teach people how to do that in 15 minutes time.. Before any more come.. I can't really explain it.. Maybe I could make a movie and put it on youtube but then my face would be visable and that isn't wise since I've posted a few things on GC that I've better not posted It's not just a stare, it's a certain look, it's hard to explain.. But please, Don't just stare at girls they will think you're a freak haha Edit: for people who don't have a car yet, I've masterd this technique while I was still using the bus, before girls got out they slipped me a paper with their number. But dress nice, you have to take care of yourself before you can take care of a girl, look at her, and when she looks back at you, look away, but look back to her like 5seconds later.. If she see you doing that she KNOWS you are into her, then it's only a matter of convincing her to come to you, keep checking her out but in a bit of a shy way, and don't look mad or angry, give them a little smile. If you go out alot it becomes easyer and after a while you start to get really confident since girls come to you and the more confident you are the better it works.
^confidence is key. and speak your mind, be different. but on the other hand how long from someone staring at you is too long? like idgaf if upstate at me for ten mins I don't see it rude or disrespectful. they're just doing their thing I guess.
I suck at eye contact..I fucking hate it,I feel like ppl r staring into my soul or some shit XD now I have stared ppl down when I was mad/angry but I stare at there forhead so It just looks like I'm staring into there eyes
Eye contact is very powerful. 90% of all communication is body language and eye contact is a big part of that. You can read everything from someones eyes, they are the window to the soul. Im a very observational person, Im a really laid back care free guy so people don't pick up on it, but I can figure a big part of people out in a short time talking and observing them. Feel VERY sorry for cross eyed people. Never being able to look people directly in the eyes has got to make your heart a little cold. Its a big part of truly embracing people and getting on the same waves as them, has to be very frustrating and Im always extra kind to cross eyed people as i know most people just make them feel awkward and can't relate.
Whenever I walk passed storefronts or restaurants and shit I always look into the windows and find people to stare at, or make faces at as I'm walking by..or dance, or walk like a clown. People usually shit their pants laughing, some get offended, but eh whatever..I love making people laugh
