  5. Well I'm not as sharp of a public speaker so it would be less destructive, probably worth 10k not to debate him.

  6. Well it would likely lead her to depression after she realized her sheer aptitude towards being a dunce.

  7. Turns out they messed with the wrong scientist. Peter Ridd spoke out against the bad science that was being done around climate change. He was fired for his opinions. He just won against the University in court. He's studied the Barrier Reef for over 30 years. He was pushing back against the fear porn crap science saying that it's dying. Nobody want's to hear that the reef is healthy.

I have several books on my shelf about climate change and supposed global warming. What I find in the research is a lot of people missing some obvious clues. 1. There is money to be made by enacting carbon tax, and since "the world" is not all on board, it only makes those that "collect" the tax more powerful. It solves nothing. 2. Look at Earth's history. Consider The Great Lakes, Superior, Michigan and the others, carved out by huge glaciers coming down from the Arctic gouging out deep depressions and when melting, receding leaving behind paleo water. 14,000 some odd years ago, and it has happened repeatedly. No one was running cars or factories producing carbon emissions. Yet, the world got cold... and the it got warm enough to eventually around 10,000 years ago, cause the glaciers to melt, and recede to present day. ref: Great Lakes - Wikipedia

Our own sun has periods of greater and lesser activity that sometimes lasts for many thousands of years. Sun spots of cooling and major flares in the shrinking and expansion or heat from our sun is one possibility of a lot of our climate change. Yes, there has been climate change. To say that there is not is foolhardy. To say that "we caused it is arrogant. We are but a tiny speck on a very large planet. Nature has a way of balance. CO2 is good in some respect as plants love it. And, on the same take, what plants take in as CO2 are expired as O2.

My take, for what it's worth.

  11. Pretty much how I feel on the subject. Also if you look at the arctic ice core data we have proof that the planet has experienced warming periods in excess of 10 degrees within the short span of 40 years. So to call a 4 degree change in global temperatures catastrophic...ehh you kind of lose me there. I'm not convinced, I think the planets natural glaciation patterns are at play here far more than human activity.

Ice cores and climate change - Publication - British Antarctic Survey

"The climate changes described above were huge, but relatively gradual. However, ice cores have provided us with evidence that abrupt changes are also possible. During the last glacial period, Greenland experienced a sequence of very fast warmings (see Fig. 5 overleaf). The temperature increased by more than 10°C within 40 years. Other records show us that major changes in atmospheric circulation and climate were experienced all around the northern hemisphere. Antarctica and the Southern Ocean experienced a different pattern, consistent with the idea that these rapid jumps were caused by sudden changes in the transport of heat in the ocean. At this time, there was a huge ice sheet (the Laurentide) over northern North America. Freshwater delivered from the ice sheet to the North Atlantic was able periodically to disrupt the overturning of the ocean, causing the transport of tropical heat to the north to reduce and then suddenly increase again. While this mechanism cannot occur in the same way in today’s world, it does show us that, at least regionally, the climate is capable of extraordinary changes within a human lifetime."

  12. On June 23, 1988 NASA’s James Hansen gave his famous testimony to Congress which started the global warming scam in earnest. He warned of increasing heat and drought, both of which have dropped off dramatically in the 30 years since.

Hansen and Senator Tim Wirth cherry-picked a hot day for the testimony, and then sabotaged the air conditioner.

"we called the Weather Bureau and found out what historically was the hottest day of the summer. Well, it was June 6 or June 9 or whatever it was, so we scheduled the hearing that day, and bingo: It was the hottest day on record in Washington, or close to it. It was stiflingly hot that summer. [At] the same time you had this drought all across the country, so the linkage between the Hansen hearing and the drought became very intense.

… What we did it was went in the night before and opened all the windows, I will admit, right? So that the air conditioning wasn’t working inside the room and so when the, when the hearing occurred there was not only bliss, which is television cameras in double figures, but it was really hot. … So Hansen’s giving this testimony, you’ve got these television cameras back there heating up the room, and the air conditioning in the room didn’t appear to work. So it was sort of a perfect collection of events that happened that day, with the wonderful Jim Hansen, who was wiping his brow at the witness table and giving this remarkable testimony."

  13. Can second this. You can do pretty basic quantum chemistry calculations that show how much heat energy co2 molecules absorb. Interesting stuffp

  14. Here’s a response to that video outlining how crowder totally strawmans tbe science and misrepresents the data to fit his narrative. I’m sure this will do little to change your mind but worth watching with an open mind

  16. This guy is well known for using real journalists and scientists out of context for his videos and 100% of his articles are backed by either left leaning fake news or outdated studies that line up with his confirmation bias, Steven Crowder on the other hand gives both sources and then his opinion.

Hilarious how the Greenland icesheets are growing so the fake MSM has to say they're melting from the bottom yet growing at the top... and I'm about 70% this guy has also claimed the earth is flat.

And the funniest thing about this anti religious anti science guy potholer54 is he not only denies the science coming out of drilling miles into ice and a whole group of researches showing earth has always had natural cycles but he wont debate Steven Crowder because crowder wont tell him where he's wrong before he comes on a live debate.. this shows me potholer54 knows he can't defend his own fallacies and he just uses confirmation bias to grow his channel, furthermore if youtube had not removed the dislike option for comments his cult following of what is it 180k subs would be substantially lower because people would show them how unpopular their corporate MSM actually is.. This Potholer chump has made a career out of focusing on other peoples success and down playing it for his own.. a gross human honestly.

  19. I bet all the people disagreeing with climate change in this thread and in general have a science based degree.
