The point of life

  1. Why is it that people always try to say that there is some complicated "point" or reason to life? Can't it just be to live

  2. For many, that is simply not a good enough answer. They can't accept the truth; that life just is. Thus, they turn to religion or other ideas that offer them comfort. There's nothing wrong with it.... It is their choice.

However, we already have about 3 threads going on this topic. Why don't you contribute your own ideas instead of creating a brand-new thread on a somewhat redundant question?

  3. people see things the way that they see them.

  4. Life advances into its own purpose, the experience of its own existence.

  5. Point of life is death.

  6. Point of life is what you make it, it's different for everyone. :)

  7. i think its mostly to enjoy the time that you do have and be as happy as you can.

  8. I agree with Skiyss - the point of life is self-defined. "Life" itself was never "intended" - it just occurred. There wasn't some conscious decision to create "life" to reach some goal or conclusion. So we must define life ourselves - living our lives to achieve what is important to us, whether it be making change on this planet, or simply enjoying our time here.

  9. There is no "point" in life, we're just a unique arrangement of atoms that form a concious being
