The Plants that would not die....

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by alleycateyes, Oct 27, 2006.

  1. Well i started these plants outdoors and added a bit of food to them and let them go..could not really tend to them due to having to fly home for fam. emergency for a month....when i got back they where full of slugs...so killed them and then i had to bring them indoors due to snoopy neighbors...I did not have any lights at the time so I put them in the window...which only got 4 hours of good light per day due to shading.........then i finally got some flo bulbs ..just your normal 40 watt ones and put 6 on them.......noticed alot of stretching ...........then a week ago i got a 400 watt bulb....I mean these plants went through it all....light or lack of, over and under watering, over nutes and under........ but still survived........

I have used this site alot with finding some great info from alot of people who seem to know what they are doing ...unlike me...lol...but thanks guys.......

Anyways I don't know how good they turned out..due to this being first time....but here are a few pics...let me know what u think

  2. looking sweet, the gods must be shinning on you, you currently look like you might have your nutes a little hot for them, I'd back off for a feeding or 2. Looking good otherwise, how long have they been on 12/12?

  3. I have cut back on the nutes...no nutes for the last watering......I had them outside for 2.5 months ...........in the window for about a month.....under flo for a month and now a week under 400....taking a bit to get there due to the mishaps and being uneducated in nutes and also alot of other things....thank god for this site......thank u for your response and any help is appreciated.......

I have taken about 20 clones from these girls..........I clipped them .......cut them on a side angle with blade........dipped them in root powder..........put them in container........and covered them with plastic wrap..........I have put them under 2 flo lights and let the moisture out twice a day.............I learned this on here and the only thing i did different was used soil instead of cubes..........they are still standing on 3rd day now but wondering if i am doing it right....

  4. I'm pretty new to clones myself. My aunt has shown me that rockwool cubes are a lot easier to use than soil to start the clones (a difference in rooting of about 4 days) but rockwool doesnt always seem to be availible.

Expect it to take 5 days before you even see the beginings of roots on your soil clones without a microscope. Mine have been taking 10-12 days to get enough root support to put in veg.
