@TimJ try adding some icing to it. The jam+cheese is a good call tho, it works surprisingly well together. I think a mulberry jam would be a good choice as well. But again..not my thing
It has a bittersweet chocolate sauce on it. I use the same sauce when making eclairs. I didn't think I'd like it either and thought it would taste crappy. It was very good. It tasted like a fried dough with better topping then the local fairs offer.I may make another using a locally made organic pumpkin butter and maybe top with pecans and a caramel sauce. It only costs a few bucks to make so if it tastes bad. I'll just toss it.
Yeah I've made them before, they don't taste bad, but I can only handle 1 or 2 slices. Fresh sliced strawberries on top after it's cooked would be probably be nice.
Inspired from Tim's recent pizza; garlic sausage, Gouda, mozzarella, havarti, olives, peppers with a chanterelle sauce.
You always post the most interesting videos @forty winks. Thank's, now I'll need to watch all the others in that series. Very cool stuff.
Tonight's pizza is Porcini mushrooms, garlic and sun dried tomatoes. I should have pulled it a few minutes earlier. My first time eating Porcini mushrooms and I believe it's now my favorite. Very dark in color with a meaty texture and a smoky smell/flavor. The sun dried tomatoes actually caramelized from the sugar content. This pizza is delicious.
Thanks @Apothic Harry. They were all better than anything I can purchase in my area. Tonight will be garlic and Parmesan sausage pizza.
Very nice. My wife makes a wicked pizza as well. The pizza dumps can't even compare to them either. She does 'em up extra large and by comparison, I can eat an entire extra large pizza from a pizza dump all to myself but I can only get through about 4 slices of my wife's pizza and I...am...done. It costs about $30 to make two of them but they'll feed three of us for 5-6 days.
My stone is 15" so that's my pizza size. My girlfriend and I get three or four meals from 2 pizza's. This pizza has a tablespoon of fresh garlic that I grew last year in the crust. I also added an additional 1/4 cup of freshly grated Parmesan on the top. I make my own crust and sauce. I used to make my mozzarella too. But, just haven't lately. The girlfriend likes her pizza lighter than I do.
