Bump, but whatever. Ground Zeroes is a sequel to Peace Walker. You play as Naked Snake/Big Boss. It's not "MGS5", simply another sequel (well, prequel really. It's a sequel to a sequel of a prequel. And yes, you read that right.) in the series meant to bridge the gap between MGS3 and Metal Gear. Basically the chronology goes like this: Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (set in 1964) Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops (set in 1970) Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (set in 1974) Metal Gear (set in 1995) Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (set in 1999) Metal Gear Solid (set in 2005) Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (set in 2007 and 2009) Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (set in 2014). Ground Zeroes seems to be set in the same year as Peace Walker. Naked Snake is not Solid Snake. He's his father. Well, not father, his genetic template. The Phantom Pain is either something to do with Ground Zeroes, or a later 'proper' Metal Gear Solid 5. There's a shit-tonne of stuff in the trailer that supports both views.
