  1. Hopefully this will also be a useful resource for beginners and advanced players alike. If you are just getting into the game, ask questions, have others review your play, and learn new stuff! Experienced players can discuss advanced techniques to diversify and sharpen their game.

    Feel free to post hands, talk about local card rooms, tournament results, etc.

    If you play poker or are interested in playing poker, introduce yourself =)

  2. Figured I'd post some good poker websites;

    Two Plus Two Poker Forum - Poker Strategy Forums

    Two plus two is the company the publishes some good poker strategy books, their forums have tons of people on them and is filled with helpful information for all levels of play.

    The PokerStars.net Big Game - Episodes - Season 2: Week 6 - Episodes 26-30

    The Big Game was in my opinion, the best poker show around. Basically they play a six handed no limit game with 5 of the best pros in the world. The fun part is they pick an amateur player for the 6th seat and give him 100,000$ to play with against the pros, whatever he wins over 100,000$ he keeps and if he loses there's no cost and they just fill the seat with another professional. It only had two seasons but it was very compelling IMO. I like it just for pure entertainment value but it's also fun to try and see if the pros act any differently when they have hands, or to see if their lines make sense, and to see how they play against the fish.

    DC Micro Stakes Strategy: Hall of Fame Threads : Micro Stakes Online NL : Poker Forums at DeucesCracked.com

    Deuces Cracked is a website where you pay for informational poker videos. The link I posted is a list of threads started on their forum that most people consider pretty informative.

    These next two websites are poker training websites, for those seeking good instructional videos with great content I highly recommend these websites. Both have a monthly cost but if you pay attention and study your game will dramatically improve. They have professional high stakes players and long time overall winners on both sites that give advice on all manner of situations, from micro stakes to high stakes, from single table tournaments to MTTs these sites have tons and tons and tons of information. While the 30$ a month they charge may not seem worth it to your average player, if you are an avid poker player looking to improve your game they will certainly help.
