This thread is going to be about your favorite bands weither it be hip hop,rap,metal,rock,country,jazz anything you like list it here. When you toke tell us if your choice of music changes when im high i like a bit of rap nothing new just old school stuff like gang starr and shit like that. Tell us your favorite band/group and if you play an insturment. Ill go first i am into metal im a metal head.I fuckin love hard metal my favorite band currently is iron maiden but ive been listining to this band that i like alot called mastodon they have released a new album called crack the skye i just cant stop listining to so iron maiden may have to be replaced soon to number 2 in my book. As for the insturment ive recently takin up the guitar ive learned a few songs like the intro to one by mettalica (my third favorite band btw). The intro to iron man by black sabbath and intro to smoke on the water i know pretty begginer songs right but i just started like 2 days ago. So ya lets try to keep this thread going id love to hear what every ones into.
I've always loved Deftones. Chino is a beast. And as for an instrument I'm pretty decent with the ol harmonica
I honestly couldn't describe them too you. They're kinda like rock. And it might be because it's like 3 in the morning.
I'm into a decently wide array of music including Metal, Hardcore, Alternative, Classic Rock, Trip Hop and a few im forgetting im sure. Some band names Norma Jean, The Chariot, Chiodos, Brand New, Manchester Orchestra, Portishead, Massive Attack, Tricky, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, CCR, Neil Young, Tom Petty and many more. As far as playing music i have been in a few bands playing a few different instruments, I can play drums, guitar, bass, piano and a little harmonica. Guitar is my first love and the instrument i am the best at. Thats my two puffs of contribution. Wow i should really mention Bob Marley.
I'm mainly into rap music, specifically Bay Area rap. I'm a HUGE fan of The Pack, Young Squad, and S.S. It's pretty much all i listen to. I also like lots of other rap artists, but I do listen to a lot of hardcore/metal. Some of my favorite bands are August Burns Red, Parkway Drive, Bury Your Dead, The Acacia Strain, Stick Yo Your Guns, KSE, n others. Also a big fan of Ratatat
I love reggae and listen to a ton of it as well as play it on my bass with a couple friends, some sick bands are Peter Tosh, Culture, 10ft Ganja plant, Steele Pulse, Burning Spear
I'm a Punk and Metal kinda guy with a touch of jazz, ska, older rap and psychedelic trance. Some bands i really like are NoFX, Guttermouth, Old Unwritten Law, Old Pennywise, Old Less Than Jake, Slightly Stoopid, Amon Amarth, Kreator, War Bringer, Turisas, GMZ, Infected Mushroom, Dark Nebula, Skazi, GZA, Deltron, Latyrx, Gordon Goodwin, Miles Davis, and of course Buddy Rich! (Channel One Suite is siiicckkkk). The list goes on but I also play trumpet, guitar, bass, and can work my way around a piano.
I listen to pretty much all genres but like psychedelic rock, post rock, and math rock the best. My favorite bands are The Flaming Lips, The Butthole Surfers, Jimi Hendrix, Sigur Ros, Battles, The Velvet Underground, Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr., The Afghan Whigs, Turing Machine, Slint, Wilco, The Mars Volta, etc. I'm a DJ, so you might call the turntables an instrument. I also play guitar decently, but nothing great. Also semi-decent on drums from a few jam sessions with my brother. I played cello for 8 years when I was a kid, but haven't for maybe 9 years. When I smoke I like music just the same. Er, more like, I like it much better, but my choice of music is no different. When I'm rocking out or spinning some records, I'm definitely more fluid and what I'm trying to do comes out much easier, that's for sure.

Mostly rock, but I like rap and techno, too. Mix them together in some way and I'll usually enjoy it, I like rap/rock a bit. I'm a big fan of Rehab, as they would probably be my first favorite. M.I.A.'s not bad. When I'm high I listen to the same shit as when I'm sober. It's just that I might have a craving to hear a certain song or something.
I'm a chill music listener as well as a bit of a metalhead. Reggae music is great stoned. Desmond Dekker, Bob Marley, Tribal Seeds, Ziggy Marley, Peter Tosh. I'm a big Iron Maiden fan going way back. I like Heavy shit too-Cannibal Corpse things of that vein.
i like a bit of most genres ... but i just found out i dont like Animal Collective. (guess you gotta be way stoned for that stuff ) but my fave is Dave Matthews Band and i play the drums

My favorite bands easily RHCP. also i really like Slightly Stoopid, the Expendables, 311, Sublime, Bob Marley, Pink Floyd, Matisyahu, Elliot Smith, Avenged Sevenfold, Notorious BIG, Snooop, Bone Thugs, Outkast, Nas, and Infected Mushroom are the main ones For metal i like tool, metallica, iron maiden, and slipknot I also play bass, mainly alternative and punk (stuff like chilis and sublime)
Almost only metal...Iron Maiden, In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, Dream Theater etc. but when I'm high Pink floyd has some pretty crazy stuff that just make so much sense when you're high lol..Also System of a Down is one of my favorite bands to listen to when I'm baked
