alright blades of the city, this thread is for the appreciation of djent, progressive, and/or melodic bands. my favourite are Periphery, Haunted shores, Vildhjarta, and Animals As Leaders. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=odUetlJ0FGY[/ame] listen to this song, i promise you won't be disappointed. it's beautiful.
Tosin Abasi and Misha Mansoor are my heroes. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmfzWpp0hMc[/ame] Amazing. Not enough Animals as Leaders fans out there.
have you heard the band i posted? misha is in it along with his friend Mark, it's absolutely STELLAR. It's been on repeat all day lol EDIT: Misha and Tosin are also my heroes, but being a drummer, i'm all about Navine Koperweis, and Matt Halpburn their grooves are INSANELY awesome!!!!!!
Maybe not 'djent', but still very awesome- [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFcTjnHnSQ8]YouTube - Elitist - "Caves"[/ame]
yup, i really enjoyed this song, so i DL their EP awhile back. good stuff. they're currently recording
Ya I knew that. He's a pretty active musician/producer. And fuck yes, the monuments are awesome. Pretty much the same band as fellsilent, and I fuggin loved fellsilent.
Source? They didn't say anything about it on their fb page. The dual vocals just fit the music perfectly, as it did with Fellsilent. I can't see them leaving... especially the bearded one.

Couldn't find anything on got-djent about Monuments. A few more songs... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0oyCXSd02U]YouTube - Veil Of Maya - It's Not Safe To Swim Today Official Live Music Video[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfOnq-zXXBw]YouTube - Periphery - Icarus Lives![/ame] I don't really like Periphery's vocalist much. Shoulda stuck with their last dude, but shit happens. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewdmxcdDSEA]YouTube - Exivious - Waves of Thought[/ame]
i actually really enjoy the periphery vocalist on some songs, but as a whole i prefer them to be instrumental only, so i rock the instrumental version of their debut 24/7 lol. also check the news section, it'll be in there. here i found it for you http://got-djent.com/article/monuments-part-ways-both-vocalists
Thanks dude. Idk how I missed that on facebook. That sucks, but they'll still be good. And I can't really picture Neema being in a band that doesn't sound like Fellsilent or Monuments. Wonder if he'll disappear.
NP, and yeah i fully agree. i hope they at least get some good production quality songs with the old vocalists up for download.
