The Official DE-preciation for T-break thread

Discussion in 'Seasoned Marijuana Users' started by CheechBurns, Feb 17, 2010.

  1. So, I'm on a hiatus from burning right now and if i dont do something constructive with my time, I'll crack. So I'm going to try and start this up and see how far it gets. Just post how long your been smoking for, why your on a T-break in the first place, and how long are you planning on not smoking.

Been smoking for about 6 years. This guy is doing coke where I work and he is literally, on the brink of being caught. Its company procedure to test all employees for illegal drugs after something like is brought to management's attention. So I need to be clean for as long as I can before he gets caught and we all pay the price. It's been two weeks now, and I'll probably be sober for at least another three weeks. :(

  2. Parents busted me(18, at home for community college) twice in 2 weeks, they're conservative and think weed is bad for you. Not gonna go against their rules if they're paying my rent and all, just not worth it for the ganja..it'll still be there.

On break til may when schools over, been tokin about everyday for over a year. Definitely noticed some differences in the first week of sobriety.

  3. I don't call it a t-break. I call it a "period of prolonged cannabis abstinence by which to decrease tolerance and/or not get my ass thrown in jail."

It's been about 5 and a half months since I was falsely convicted of DUI. I hadn't been smoking at all the day I crashed my car while reading directions to a friend's house and had the cops perform a field sobriety test on me and took my urine. Now, I'm just wrapping up my mandated drug program, and will be able to smoke in about two weeks.

  4. Yeah, T-breaks definitely suck, especially if you have insomnia. I've smoked 2-3 times every day for about a year, with a few week-long T-breaks for good measure. My last one was 3 weeks ago, but now I'm on vacation and not smoking til Saturday (haven't smoked since last Thursday)

But boy will it be a good sesh when I get to rip my 18" 9 mil toob :bongin:

  5. Good luck on getting this to be a massive thread... I hope it grows, but sadly, potheads just don't like being reminded of their inability to smoke. :)

  6. Yea, It prob wont, but its here just as a reminder that if you cant smoke, we feel your pain.

  7. Well, this might sound stupid, but when I was a senior in high school (two years ago), I was arrested - in school - for possession. Now, most people think "idiot, why take it to school?" Well, I honestly forgot that it was in my pocket when I got caught with it. I was called into the principal's office about some truancy bull and he started accusing me of being high and asking me the 10,000 complicated questions that not even a sober person could answer. In the end, I was searched, charged with possession of under 2.5g and a paraphernalia charge.

After that, I had to attend a drug program that was run by the school, and was put on one year of task force probation (montly drug tests). I stopped smoking for about 3 or 4 months at first, then I became more comfortable with the probationary drug tests and started to smoke, very little of course, between tests and took flush pills.

In the end, the stopping for a few months was extremely worth it; my tolerance was basically non-existent.

  8. I haven't smoked in 37 days now. I feel pretty good, but it sucks. I want to smoke. For me, its an excercise in will power and a way to get my tolerance back down. My head deff feels a little less foggy all the time. Also, my grades dropped because I'm at a difficult school as a chemistry major. I decided I would take a break and see if they went up. So far, they are the exact same as when I smoke.

I am going for 60 days, so I have a little over three weeks left.

The insomnia SUCK! Even a month + later! I got prescribed sleeping pills, but they make me sleep through class, so I can't even take them. Its killing me. Also, my ADHD has gotten bad again. I'm trying ritalin again instead of weed for it, but I honestly like weed as a way to treat it better.

  9. I got caught caught smoking twice in 2 days so my mom thinks I'm addicted despite the information and sources I have shown her. She asked me to take a break for a month, and I need to get my tolerance down anyways so I agreed to take it. These next 30 days are going to suck especially with insomnia.

  10. I take regular T-Breaks, mainly because i don't really have the money at the moment to afford to get it all the time.

So usually ill just buy 1-2grams on a Wednesday / Thursday and smoke it all up over a few days ( normally gone mid-weekend ) and then start up again next Wednesday=)

  11. IMHO, a few days doesn't constitute a T-break.
